Are there any good MMOS out there that have endgames that aren’t just the pursuit of a fractional increase in power on your gear?

I’ve been playing MMOs off and on for the past 20ish years and I always end up loosing steam when I get to the endgame. Specifically because there only ever seems to be the whole grind for slightly better gear end game.

Question

Does anyone know of a solid online gaming group? Been looking for a good community for a while now to hang out with. Kinda hard between family and work but I always seem to struggle to fit in with most civilian groups.

I largely play match based games like Helldivers and DRG with some time spent in NMS and Valheim as well as plans to get back into WoW (once I find out what they’re doing with shaman at least).

I’m mainly trying to find a community with an active Discord that’s into any of the games I listed above.

Returning player who’s been playing a shaman since Vanilla. Prefer Enhance or Resto but I can play all 3 specs easily. I’ve done a little raid leading back in the day but largely only on normal.

Looking for a guild that’s active both in game and on Discord. Mainly looking for a social guild but I’m wouldn’t mind being able to get some casual raiding or M+ done. I’m more about hanging out with friends than anything Hard Core.

I only just recently learned that you can stop your Ogryn charge at any time by just pressing S. Was it mentioned somewhere in a tutorial and I missed it?

Because that makes the final charge upgrade that lets you run further and through most enemies so much more useful. Not to mention being able to charge up on a downed team mate and being able to stop right on them, knocking down everything around them, and making the pick up even safer.

Everyone complains about how there’s a lack of a story in DarkTide but in a way the story as it is tracks with being in the military:

Regularly find out mission assignments at the last moment or in the field:

Some higher up always yelling at you, treating you like an idiot, or telling you to hurry up:

Getting the best gear from supply is either a gamble or you know someone in supply who can hook you up with the good stuff:

Getting treated like garbage after you join a new unit and treated that way until you prove you aren’t an idiot:

My buddy and ran into some bugs with the converted Endurance saves. After completing the expedition 100%, including the optional mission, our “converted” Endurance saves show as still being part of the expedition when we first log in before the end of expedition prompt comes up and the expedition tab gets removed.

Normally this would just be annoying but neither he nor I could join each other’s games. Whenever we tried to join up it wouldn’t give in an option to choose a save and would instead force them to start a new Endurance save. He even tried joining on my converted Endurance save with a Normal mode save that wasn’t part of any expedition and got the same result.

Does anyone have an idea what the actual available build space is in the new freighter bases? Is it like 15 x 15 x 15 or something else? By that I mean room block size.

Edit: Instead of being lazy and went and checked on Creative: 21 wide, 22 long, and 17 high.
