Regardless of how you feel about Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, they are a crucial part of the scene.
More than any other band (shout out tDB for also doing this well) they put other bands on as their openers. The Pigeons have been grinding it out for years and platforming so many popular bands that are now popular.Think of all the bands that have opened for them that now have good followings - Goose, Dogs, Eggy. If they're a newer band and you like them, they've probably opened for Pigeons.
Also, I would like to say that their two guitar, no keys approach is something I'd love to see other bands take a cue from. It's a great sound that sounds new when everyone else takes the one guitar

I want to get a ticket for the marathon set at the Greek on 10/2 but resale prices are ridiculous. I’m considering waiting for closer to the show to try to snag some for cheaper but I feel like I saw somewhere that the tickets are nontransferable or something like that. Can anyone confirm? Should I just bite the bullet now? Thanks!
