Alright it happened to me we kind of hit a slow patch and a few of my cabinet makers have started to age out all around the same time.

I honestly have never cold call solicited work from cabinet shops in my life and too be completely honesty I'm one of those reaaaal anxious painters who prolly sniffed way more lacquer than I should have. So I'm probably overthinking the whole thing.

Right now my plan is to cold call cabinet makers in the area that I know are smaller and take the owner out to lunch. I plan on bringing both sample scraps and sample doors and a price list.

So what I'd like to ask ya'll is what would you like to see from a finisher trying to get your work?

My dad has cancer. He's been diagnosed for a little over 8 months. He and i have been very close for the last 20 years. We spent a lot of time working together or in close proximity.

Anxillary characters from our past have come out of the woodwork. They're too passive aggressive to just sent him messages or call him. Every day im bombarded by texts from these people "house he doing?" In the beginning i gave them legit updates to which id get 1 word replies.

Now? Fuck these people. They don't care. At this point all they might as well just send a "hey dont forget you dad has cancer!" Text to me. I cant get 2hrs without being reminded via text.

I'm losing my patience and faith in humanit
