Hello All,

I'm a member of the MegaMek Development team, with a focus on MekHQ Personnel.

I'm wondering what everyone here would consider the most crucial parts to to implement in MekHQ for Destiny usage. I have read the rules multiple times, but have never played Destiny.

Also, I know the Edge system in MegaMek will require a complete rework in general, much less for Destiny's single dice rerolls, and have put it on my list (albeit near the bottom).

Hey all, I'm going to be painting my Marines soon. I'm planning a crusader force and would like ideas for chapters to be part of it. I'm going to need 20+ chapters in total given the total force is around 200 marines.

So, what chapters would recommend adding to my list, and why?

Chapters I've already decided on: Salamanders: I just like them Crimson Fists: Battle for Rynn's World, need I say more? Celestial Lions: I can't help liking these pour souls Blood Ravens: I love them... Dark Angels: Dark Vengeance gave me a few DA. Space Wolves: I have a few SW models Blood Angels: I have a few models from the box set of them vs nids

TLDR: What chapter(s) would you recommend to paint and why?

Hello r/Tyranids. I'm a returning player from 5th (and a few games of 7th), where I played Marines and Orks. I started Tyranids in 7th, but didn't have enough finished before I stopped playing.

My local meta is highly competitive, and I want to be able to have a fighting chance in games. Therefore, I'd like your advice on my current idea list for 1850pts.

Edit: I'm not planning on using the Beta rules, only the finalized changes.

My current idea list:

+++ Tyranid 1850 Idea List (Warhammer 40,000 8th Edition) [97 PL, 1850pts] +++

++ Battalion Detachment +5CP (Tyranids) [65 PL, 1229pts] ++

  • No Force Org Slot +

Hive Fleet: Jormungandr

  • HQ +

Hive Tyrant [11 PL, 219pts]: Monstrous Scy

Loaded into a tier 8 game on Fiery Salient in my Cromwell. The first thing I noticed was that I was that I was one of two tier 6's (non-scout) in the game. The next thing I noticed was that I was one of the best (highest WN8, one of the highest winrates) and most experienced (just under 3k games) players in the entire game.

XVM showed my stats as followed: WN8 of 650, winrate of 48%, 3k games played.

I went hill, and looked at the score once I was in a relatively safe position. It was 5:5, under 1 minute into the game.

I rushed the hill, using that position to spot and fight. It was easy to take the position, and taking it gave my team (which had lost more tier 8 tanks) the advantage we

I'm a 700 WN8 overall player with ~1.5k WN8 recent. I was on track for ~2k WN8 yesterday, but had this brought down by playing the two tanks below. The winrate issue for these tanks was caused by platooning with much worse players than myself, but the WN8 issue remains.

How do you play the VK 30.01 (H) and the VK 36.01 (H) without hurting your stats?

My IGN is Windchild. This is an update after asking for help 26 days ago. I've gotten to an overall WN8 of 530, with an average WN8 of ~1k over the past 2 weeks. The past two weeks has had a survival rate of ~26% and a win rate of ~55%. Over this period of time, my daily WN8 has moved between ~800 and ~1,500.

The Cromwell is the main reason my WN8 is as high as it is, as my most consistent tank in terms of damage and WN8. I've also been playing a significant portion of my games in it (getting my first crew skill is my current goal, which will help for skirmishes).

I've also been skirmishing with my clan [C_W_G], where I've tried calling (mixed, probably 45%-50% winrate), and got my first

My IGN is Windchild. I'm looking to get better, so that I can be helpful to my teams, instead of a hinderance. I know that my games with certain tanks (well, most) hurt my team rather than help it, and want to move towards helping more often. I have been slowly improving but would like to get better for Skirmishes once I get to Tier 6 (likely with the Cromwell).

I'm very much dependant on the map for how well I do. I consistently do significantly better on certain maps, having found a certain way to play.

My WN8 two days ago was ~550, while yesterday it was 347 (Grant and the Hotchkiss 35 made up most of my games yesterday, with my games in Heavy Tanks being cursed by the Grille [mostly fr

My first list since returning, after reading through the Codex. This is using the Ultramarine Successor Chapter rules.

  • Librarian: 65
  • Tactical Squad (10, Meltagun, Missile Launcher): 165
  • Tactical Squad (10, Plasmagun, Missile Launcher): 170

and either

  • Predator (Heavy Bolter, Storm Bolter): 100

or

  • Dreadnought (Multimelta, Storm Bolter): 100

For 750, I'm thinking of adding a Land Raider Crusader with a multimelta to this list (probably supported by the Predator), which would be exactly 750 points.

What I can substitute into the tactical squads:

Special Weapons: 2 flamers, 1 meltagun and one plasmagun

Heavy Weapons: 2 Lascannons, 2 Rocket Launchers, 1 Heavy Bolter, 1 Plasma C

I played during the 5th edition, and had to take a break due to a move. Having found my models, I'm ready to start playing 40k again.

I mostly played Space Marines, with a smaller Ork contingent (mostly unbuilt).

My Army:

  • Captain (Power Sword, Bolter, Command Squad [5, Standard, Company Champion, 2 with powerfists/meltaguns])
  • Master of the Forge (Conversion Beamer)
  • Librarian
  • Techmarine (Combi-melta)
  • Terminator Chaplain
  • Terminator Squad (5, Power Sword on Sergeant)
  • Terminator Assault Squad (5, 3 with Claws, 2 with Hammers)
  • 2 Tactical Squads (10, Flamer, Rocket Launcher)
  • Tactical Squad (5, Plasma Gun, Rocket Launcher)
  • Scout Squad (5, Sniper Rifles, Rocket Launcher)
