i would like to switch to a custom rom (either graphene or linneage) but i'm scared of by the fact that i can't close the bootloader afterwards. i don't want to make it too easy for anyone to get into my phone.
how severe is this issue and are there any workarounds? could i encrypt my phones data in a way that its still usable?
and either way, what's the best mobile browser?
I heard concerns, that firefox' mobile browsers don't have any/ good enough sandboxing and therefore pose a security risk and shouldn't be used. was and more importantly, is this still the case or relevant? if so, what alternative browser is the best. if not, which iteration of the firefox browser should i use?
if there are any not too high level resources on the topic, i would appreciate a link
also pls excuse my bad english ;)
Dying Light has a build in gamepad VR mode for Oculus. I heard its a little janky but I want to try it out. It is supposedly possile to get it to work on non-Oculus devices, by using revive and i followed a guide for that but it just doesn't launch in VR.
So, did anyone manage to get it to work (lately)? Is it still possible and can you please share how you did it?
Thank y'all very much in advance :)
Would it be possible to run SimulaOS on a Quest/Quest 2? I know it's currently not supported, but is there a possibility it might come in the future? If not, what is stopping it?
this question goes specifically to the people who have used both valve index and vive pro 2. which headset is in your opinion better (only the headset not the rest) and why? i have been thinking about upgrading (?) from my index to a vive pro 2, mainly for the wireless and maybe better resolution. is it worth it?
how would/could anarchists handle people who want to bring back hierachies in an established anarchist society? not necessary someone who wishes to be at the top of the hierarchy (i can already imagine how to deal with that) but people who decide they want to give away power. they can of course be told by the others, that it is a bad idea but what if that doesn't work? do people have the freedom to enslave themselves? what if they want to establish representative democracy for everyone?
and please don't tell me, it just won't happen because anaechist societies are perfect. even if you don't believe it is possible, let's see it as a hypothetical.
i think in most countries there are seatbelt legislations that require people to wear a seatbelt while driving. what are the anarchist views on this and should something similar exist in an anarchist society?
who "owns" a child and is responsible for its well-being? the parents? how much freedom do they have in how they treat their child? what measures can other people take if they disagree with the behaviour of the parents and is it even ok to do anything?
mixed into this is the question, how long can parents (if it is the parents who "own" the child) have authority over their child? when does the child get the authority over its own life?

i've been trying to install stormland since yesterday, but apparently every time i loose contection to the internet, the download gets cancels.
i am using the latest version of the oculus store for windows. i changed the default directory for games, but the store already put files in the new location, so i know it shouldn't be a permission issue. there also is far more than enough space on my disc.
is this normal/a common issue? does anyone know how to fix this? i'm trying to download stormland one last time right now. if it fails agains, i will reinstall the store and if still doesn't work then, contact the support. if i figure something out, i will edit this post.
