I’m looking for a recommendation where the MC doesn’t just expect every woman to fall all over him. Where the harem isn’t just dropped on his lap by his first partner conveniently saying “I’m fine with sharing”, and just like that the idea of having a harem is normalized and he adds women to it like he’s collecting Pokémon. I’m looking for something that starts off with genuine relationship building and the idea of a harem is brought into the story a little reluctantly but eventually embraced. Finally it would be good if the harem were treated like a family and everyone is in a way in a relationship with each other. The Binding Words series does this very well as does Aethers Guard. I was just going to start reading the newest book in the series (5) and I figured I kind of forgot what’s happened so far. Anyone mind giving me a quick summary of where the characters are now and what’s happened recently and what challenges they overcame?
Any summary no matter how small is appreciated. Thanks so much!
Anyone have a recommendation for a more realistic creation of a harem with some believable romance? There are a lot of books where: -The MC finds out that harems are normal in the world and he just seems to accept that and just starts collecting women without building much of a connection with each. -The MC’s love interest see him admiring another woman out of nowhere just says something like ‘I don’t mind sharing, etc, etc.
I love this genre as every book is just a really fun read but would like some recommendations on ones where it takes a bit to develop the harem. Not just time wise but also from an emotional standpoint. With the women also falling in love with each other. ‘Our Own Way’
I find that I prefer series where the MC is not just ‘collecting’ women. It’s more realistic and makes the relationship more dynamic when a new love interests joins the ‘family’ and not just the MC. It just adds so much more depth to the relationships and hurdles to cross and eventually a much more realistic and pleasant romance, especially when there is romance between the love interests as well.
Our Own Way by Mist Vixen hits the nail on the head with this. Other examples are few and far between.
Can anyone please recommend me a few more?
