I saw some people "complaining" that they made Haymitch too similar to Katniss based on the excerpt. Until someone pointed out that Haymitch is not supposed to mirror Katniss but Gale.

What do you think of that observation? Do you agree?

I think he is not necessarily meant to show a parallel to anyone. It is not uncommon that people die like Mr.Everdeen died in 12.

ich hoffe, ihr könnt mir helfen, denn ich weiß nicht mehr weiter. Wir wohnen seit ein paar Jahren in unserem Haus, und die Nachbarn gegenüber verhalten sich seitdem sehr auffällig. Der Mann schlägt seine Frau, und man hört sie oft schreien.

In den letzten zwei Jahren war die Polizei schon etwa sechs Mal bei ihnen, aber es scheint nie etwas zu passieren. Die Frau wurde auch schon mal von ihm rausgeworfen und hat vor der Bäckerei gebettelt. Es ist einfach traurig mit anzusehen. Manchmal sieht man sie, wie sie die Hunde spazieren führt, aber ansonsten wirkt sie oft eingeschüchtert und niedergeschlagen.

I wore up to very loud meowing and looking out of the window I saw a cat on the roof of one of the buildings in my neighborhood.

The people are trying to help but there is nothing huge really they can do. The young boy climbed on the roof and almost slipped. Since then they have tried to make her jump in a small bowl.

She has been looking for a good name for a while.

She told us last week that she had found the perfect name.

It's Marica. Obviously where she got it from it means goddess. But in Spanish, specifically colombian Spanish it means "faggot".

Now why is that a big deal? People constantly have names that mean different things. She is moving to Medellin at the end of this year.
