Honestly feeling discouraged

Safe Space (Postive Comments Only)

Hi, a gray ace lesbian here.

Sorry for the rant in advance. But I needed to get it off my chest. I don’t have people I can talk to about this, so I rather just throw it into the internet void.

Don’t know if it’s just the culture in my particular area (I live in a big city but am not comfortable saying where) however trying to date these days has been very disappointing and discouraging for me. I have yet to meet a women who doesn’t participate in hookup culture, isn’t poly and is okay with me being gray ace (borderline full ace, but I have my moments) and it’s made me feel like I’m not going to meet anyone who’s going to accept me for who I am and respect the aspect of my asexuality.

Hey luvs,

I’ve been looking for curly hairstyle inspiration on Pinterest and youtube, however almost everything is something complicated or some y2k style with a bunch of hairs pulled out (which is something I really can’t pull off, especially with glasses).

I’m someone who usually just does slick back buns or I just wear my hair completely out and curly, no in-between. However I want to change that this year, but don’t know where to start.

Any recommendations on creators or sites to follow for simple curly hairstyles?

Hair routine

  1. I shampoo and condition with Botanic Hearth (Biotin brown bottles)

  2. (This is for when I leave my hair out) Still wet I apply Cantu leave in condi

This grinds my gears pretty bad.

An example of this would be if one of your parents ask you if you want to stay home or go with them car shopping (or something idk 🤣) and you decide you want to stay home and they get so mad at you.

LIKE WHAT??! If my answer is such a problem and you’re getting a whole attitude about it afterwards why even give me the choice in the first place? Just say you really want me to go somewhere with you and I’ll be more likely to even go or try to plan around it if I’m not busy.

Also this pet peeve can go to multiple scenario’s, however I’m just using the parent angle as an example since I feel like it’s the easiest to understand.

I had a nightmare shift job when I was in college and I used to get so sick. To the point that I even went into the hospital because my migraine’s + throwing up became unbearable.

I see a lot of talk from other nurses about how since we’re new grads we HAVE to take night shift jobs since that’s mostly what’s available to us. If that’s the case I’m honestly dreading it, because I don’t think I could physically go through that again while trying to take care of patients.

I only recently learned there was a difference between the two and I was curious to know where Spanish people fall.

I assumed because we are poc we could identify as butch, but I don’t want to coin something that doesn’t apply to me.

Educate me please 😩✨

I recently took a job on a med surg unit and I cannot properly explain how much I hate it. I’ve been trying to stick it out because I don’t have experience (I’m only 2 months in), but I seriously want to quit today.

I’m very interested in aesthetic nursing, however idk how to approach the job or where to look since when I do look I don’t get much.

In case anyone is wondering I’m also interested in Or nursing, L&D, women’s health, billing, any nursing done in research or in pharmaceutical companies as well. So any advice is welcome for those as well.

Thank you in advance.

Apologies in advance if this doesn’t make much sense, I’m typing this out while crying.

I am a 22F who has been applying for jobs in the nursing field for the past 3 months. I recently got a retail job so I could at least make some money while I work on trying to get my career job. However my parents and I get into a fight with me about it almost every week at this point and I’m pretty over it because I genuinely have no idea what I can do.

So today we got into an argument about me not having a RN job yet, because I feel like it’s not up to me whether or not I get a job. I spend at least 3-4 hrs looking at or applying to jobs Monday-Friday, however I only managed to get one interview so

I don’t know if anyone has talked about this yet. But apparently the Supreme Court is going to discuss banning gay marriage.

I’m genuinely terrified of this considering what happened with Roe v Wade.
