After finding out that Mini Coopers are in insane demand in my area, I finally secured my 2011 MINI Clubman base model in red/silver with just under 40k miles! I wanted the S model, but was in need of a car because my truck died, so the first available became my focus. However, I went into the MINI world without many people to talk to, and no known club/group in my area.

If you guys can let me know some basics, I would appreciate it...

For starters, the armrest/console seems to block the parking brake. Unlike the model I test drove with a navigation system, I have to move the arm rest out of the way every time I park. Is that because it's worn down from too much pressure? Or is this intent

After years of using youtube or getting an MP3 or two of songs, I started to build out my CD collection. As I was in the used section, I saw two or three different copies of 'year zero', which I hadn't really listened to at the time.

Two had the Bureau of Morality warning on the back, but were in pretty rough shape. There was one without this in pristine condition, so I picked it up. However, I'm realizing this thing has no barcodes, no text or labels aside from the spines... The previous owner had actually thrown in a local news clipping mentioning the album's release.

All is quiet on Rannoch today. I'm glad to see how the number of planetside inhabitants is growing, though! Soon it'll be a bustling city and we'll all start rushing to find the ever disappearing countryside. But that's still a year or so away.

Ryn loads a few crates of supplies and tools into his shuttle, scrambling into the cockpit and easing it out of the garage.
