I was never a career person. I cared about it, but was never my main concern.
After 2020, though, I got more and more involved in it. I managed to land a job I liked. I had a demanding role, and was working remotely. My managers were happy but business owners laid off half of the team two years later, including me. Following this lay off, I quickly found another role in which had more seniority. I kinda felt I made it. I was on good money and had a title. Again, demanding role, mostly remote. The second company revealed itself to be a toxic mess and I was fired 6 months in, out of the blue.
I won't go further into detail about the roles because I don't think it's needed, but basicall
I take it for granted that all people here have or have had an in person mutual relationship with their twin but I also read of people that never met their TF in person or that never dated/kissed/had a relationship with them and consider an acquaintance or a stranger their TF.
Do you know your twin IRL? Have you at least dated them? If you don’t, what made you confident they are your TF?
I have been dating my partner for 4 years. Before starting our relationship we discussed preferences and we seemed to be on the same page. I am a sexual masochist and submissive, aware and experienced, so I tend to be upfront about my preferences. We started having sex and it wasn’t bad, he seemed quite dominant. We live in different countries so we didn’t see each other lots, which is also why it took years for me to realize.
When apart, he used to do sexting, and he mentioned wanting to try some kinky practices - but once in person he never really tried anything, in spite I enthusiastically said I would be down to it.
As I lean strongly submissive in bed, I don’t want to lead him or or
I often read and hear that people leaning avoidant tend to be attracted to anxiously attached or AP people. I realised, though, that I’m not really. Both my partners and friends always tend to be secure or leaning avoidant. Anxiously attached people feel immediately smothering preventing any form of connection from my side. Wondering if it’s just me?
When I first met the twin, I didn't even have a clue about this whole twin flame theory. I was an atheist, rationalist, not spiritual at all.
It's been a crazy ride, we dated on again off again for 7 years and have been so far in no contact for 9. I won't write the whole story because that'd be too long.
Around year 5 of our actual relationship I learned about twin flames, and it finally gave a bit of an explanation to what was happening to us. I shared the concept with him at the time, and he agreed in its absurdity it made sense. We tried to honor the bond, meditated and everything. We still ended breaking up, and it was brutal and unexpected. Before it happened, while together, we saw
I'm a 41 year old parentified only child of a schizophrenic mother. She is, I believe, also a narcissist, or behaves similar to one. She was always abusive towards me, verbally and physically too. My dad was the good parent, but never removed me from the situation. Just tried minimizing the impact of it. She was unmedicated and undiagnosed for pretty much 25 years.
Age 17 I left home, and cut ties with her. I suffered serious depression my whole life, indeed. Had lots of shitty abusive people in my life, mostly because I was desperate for belonging and settled for anything that was slightly better than what I had at home.
When I was 25 we (me really) found a way to have doctors do an inte
My long time friend has been in a relationship with this man for a year. He is extremely controlling, gets upset with her if she goes out with me, or on her own. Gets upset if she doesn’t see him to see her parents. We met at this event few months ago, where she didn’t know a single soul but me, and he got upset because she left him for 10 mins to come and say hello to me, and because she was looking around her. He decided she was trying to flirt with another guy to his face. They argue several times a week, sometimes he calls her names, most of the time after they argue he turns his phone off and becomes unavailable. So yeah, seriously abusive.
Before him she had a 20 year long relationshi
