I'm Jacob, the events coordinator at The Wizard's Chest in Denver, CO. Our store specializes in tabletop gaming (as well as costumes, makeup, puzzles, magic tricks, etc.). We started a Twitch stream where we play board games every Monday night at 8pm MT. Tonight we have an awesome guest: Clank designer Paul Dennen is joining us to play Clank: Catacombs! We're super excited to have him join us, and I invite you all to check us out tonight at The Wizard's Chest Twitch channel. We'll also post the video on YouTube afterwards. Eventually. Promise.

Hey guys, I'm the trivia host at World of Beer on Washington Rd, and this week we have our third-ever themed trivia event. This is different from our weekly Wednesday general knowledge trivia nights, because you actually have a chance to win cold-hard cash! $5 buy-in per person, and the winning team gets half of all the money collected.

If you'd like more information, please check out the Facebook event linked here.

We do ask that people register beforehand here: Pre-registration. We already have a few teams pre-registered, so join in!

When: Thursday, June 21. Starts at 7:30, we ask that you be

Hey everyone,

I'm at my wits end on this. I run Shotcut on a Mac and I'm making a video that has two video lines and two audio ones. I was using the video line for images/texts that would fade in and out, I have one audio line for background music, and another one for an added voice over. But when I try to export it, it wouldn't go past 0%. I followed some exporting advice I saw here on reddit and now it won't go past 1%. I've had similar freezing issues happen before (a video would get to 94% and not move past there), but I'm not sure if I'm doing something incorrect or what.

Any advice or suggestions would be super helpful. The following appears in the jobs log for the export:

I’ve brought some friends together from the Augusta area (and one from out of state) to create a team for the Extra Life gaming marathon that supports Children Miracle Network Hospitals. We here in Augusta are lucky to have a CMN in our own backyard: Children’s Hospital of Georgia, which is part of Augusta University. My wife is an employee there, and I know how hard she and all of her colleagues work to ensure that their patients get the highest quality care possible.

On November 5th at 8am, we’ll be playing games for 24 hours straight to support the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. We’ve already raised more money than we thought we would, and we hope to keep it going! You can find our don

My experience with rogues has been tainted as of late. The rogue class seems to attract a very particular type of person around my area, and I wanted to see if reddit has had similar experiences.

I’ve been running the 5e Encounters sessions at my FLGS for almost a year now. I run a very casual game: my goal is to get people into D&D, learn the basics, explore different types of races and classes if they choose, and otherwise have fun in a safe and friendly environment. But ever since my first evening session, I’ve experience what I call “The Rogue Player.”

“The Rogue Player” works like this: they come to the session. They’ve either never played D&D before, or they’re damn e

I recently picked up a copy of Sushi Go! and found that there was a printing error that had damaged the backs of several cards. The damage didn't make the game unplayable: it was just very unsightly. I wrote to Gamewright asking if it was possible to order replacements for those specific cards, and instead they sent me a whole new copy of the game! I've seen previous posts about great gaming publishers with awesome customer service, and I felt I needed to give Gamewright a special shout-out as well. They responded incredibly quickly (and during the weekend!) and were very professional and generous.

I donated the old copy of Sushi Go! to my FLGS to add to their collection of in-house games (

Anyone here do theater? I'm wondering what the communities are like. I know there's The Augusta Players and Chat Noir, any others? Auditions for A Christmas Carol indicated two of the leads were filled pre-audition: do they often have people in mind for roles beforehand, or hire "professionals" to fill leads like some community theaters?
