Hey everyone 👋
I'm making a TableTop Roleplaying Game, and one of the things in the game I want to focus on is domain level play (managing a kingdom, tribe, religion, etc.).
I'm thinking of using the term King to refer to any character that has access to this "subsystem" — so a Warrior Queen, a Cult High-Priest, a Horde Chieftain, or any other type of "ruler", regardless of gender, would be called a King in game terms.
I have some misgivings about this, as the term might be loaded in a patriarchal sort of direction. On the other hand, a generic term like Ruler is a bit bland for the flavor I'm going for. And the other direction of using "King or Queen" is kind of like using "he *o
Sumnjam da uopšte možeš da zamisliš (I doubt you could even imagine it)
Ono što je vladalo zvezdama (That which commanded the stars)
Dajući životu punu briljantnost (Giving life its fullest brilliance)
Drevni Prsten (The Elden Ring)
OOOOOOOOO DREVNI PRSTENU (OOOOOHHHH ELDEN RING)
Razbijen, od strane nekoga il nečega (Shattered, by someone or something)
Ne govori mi da ne vidiš (Don't tell me you don't see it)
Pogledaj u nebo (Look up at the sky)
Ono gori (It burns)
Let's see it in other languages, fellow hollows (or as we'd call you in Serbia: šuplji drugovi)

Since reading Dogs, I've watched Vincent Baker's panel on RPG design, where he remarks how it's a hassle to play Dogs because
... you gotta get all these dice out...
He says it in an offhand way, in answer to an audience question, and also I'm paraphrasing, but the point stands, and I feel he acknowledges the issue with the game: you need a lot of different types of dice, and not everyone has the amount needed to play the game effectively.
I've been thinking about the same mechanics (i.e. "poker with dice"), but using d6 dice pools. Now, obviously, this changes the math quite a bit, since in DitV you use every die type from d4 to d10. How
Hey guys,
I've finished the last spread of the game, and would like some feedback.
(My 1^(st) post / 2^(nd) post / 3^(rd) post)
This is the actual meat of the game, so the text needs to convey the rules clearly and concisely. I hope I've managed to strike the right balance. Take a look:

Hey guys,
This is my third post about Inquisition - the game where the PCs are Inquisitors in search of the Truth - so if you haven't yet, take a look at:
My second post - Inquisition Orders
I'll let the rules speak for themselves:

Hey guys,
My last post got a really positive response, and in the past week I furthered the design of the game, so I thought I'd give you an update.
I finished the back ("cover") page. It features the seven Orders of the Inquisition. Each Player will choose to be prior (monastic superior) of one of the Orders. This organically happened as I was writing the character creation rules. Since politics and intrigue will be a major part of the game, it occurred to me that lowly officers of the Inquisition wont have roles nearly as interesting as the actual leaders o
Hey guys,
Lately I have put my main project aside while I'm studying for exams. This, however hasn't stopped me from designing in the back of my mind, so I started this little game as a side project that I'm working on during study breaks and in the evenings.
I recently finished the cover page and thought I'd share it. I'm doing it as a leaflet, meant to be printed on A4 paper in landscape and then folded into thirds, so this is the reason for the weird form-factor.

Hey, guys!
As I said in the title, a group of friends and I are visiting Moscow for a couple of days (29.4. to 2.5.). We would like our time in Moscow to be used in the best possible ways. So I have a couple of questions for you guys:
Thanks!
I'm working on a Sword & Sorcery game. To this end, I want to have sessions that are singular, self-contained adventures, to simulate the episodic nature of the genre (both in visual media and literature), and also to allow a more disjointed campaign (my group and I have trouble with keeping schedules, and sometimes month's pass between sessions). This proved problematic during playtesting in two distinct ways:
