Payton gets about as much shit as any knicks player has since I've been a fan of this team so he deserves all the props he's getting tonight.

I just wanted to make one point that I feel shouldn't fly under the radar.

I think him taking accountability for playing like garbage the first 2 games and putting in extra work is such a perfect message for our young guys. He had no one to blame but himself and put the work in.

Do I expect him to be good the rest of the year? Obviously not but I appreciate him taking accountability and taking action. Definitely sets a great example for guys like Knox, DSJ, and Frank who have tremendous ups and downs in their play. A higher level of personal accou

CAA is the biggest agency in the league for a reason. THEY KNOW HOW TO EVALUATE GOOD TALENT. They wouldn't make as much money as they do if they wasted their time representing a bunch of scrubs. Even if Rose really only is working with people with CAA connection for that alone(He obviously isn't even if he might have some bias) what is so bad about that? You can win a whole lot with just people represented by CAA because again THEY REPRESENT THE BEST OF THE BEST.

With the emergence of the Heat as now a finals participant, I have to wonder how the rest of the league will respond. We know that sports is a copycat business. If we look at how the Heat have operated since Lebron leaving and where they've ended up, how can an organization continue to sell a fanbase on losing in the short term to get better in the long term?

The Sixers situation is complicated and Hinkie was never able to follow through on his plan but as a whole it has yet to really prove it can work. Maybe they were unlucky that Simmons and Embiid aren't an ideal fit but how likely is it that the guys you're getting from the draft are going to work together.

The Heat on the other hand

I've been pretty against the notion that we should be trying to improve our team with guys who won't be apart of our "core" for the long haul but this Heat team is really making me reconsider. We know the Heat culture and have known for a long time. They're going to simply try as hard as they can to win as many games as possible each and every season. Combine that with hitting on your draft picks that aren't at the top, and picking up dudes off the trash pile who offer you something that you need and it looks like it's a real winning formula. For years it didn't look like a winning formula. They were essentially a rudderless ship, competing to just make the playoffs but that kind of mentalit

Anyone else find a lot of similarities between Hali and Caruso? I personally never even considered the comp before this video but I find Caruso's game strikingly similar to how I expect Hali to fit into a team.

Hali has more length while Caruso is probably more athletic but I could see Hali fitting into a very similar role. Both probably will never be lead guards but they both provide a lot of value in just knowing where to be at the right times and making smart plays on offense and both can be formidable defenders.

Tyrese Haliburton: I like Hali for a lot of the reasons everyone else does but I get confused when I see people slotting him in the top 7 or 8 players. I think everyone agrees that his ball handling, athleticism, and off-dribble shooting hamstrings him a bit from being a true primary ballhandler but you see the defense, playmaking, and catch and shoot ability and can picture him on an NBA roster. The problem with that imo is that you have to believe he can almost be Marcus Smart level good at defense to be a starter on a winning team. Unless you think he's going to continue being a 40% 3 point shooter on decent volume, I just can't see him being more than a high-level rotation player. He's a

You can debate top 10 picks all you want but at the end of the day, it's teams that can find diamonds in the rough consistently who remain good year after year. I've been really digging into guys past what's kind of considered the top 20 of this class and I've found a bunch of players who I think fall into that category.

Mason Jones: I think it's criminal that nearly everyone has this guy outside the top 40. I understand concerns about not thinking he's athletic enough or spotty defense but scoring 22 ppg in the SEC on 61.4% TS is incredibly impressive. He's probably the best pure scorer of the basketball in this class at the current moment outside of Grant Riller. He posted an astronomical
