Hey friends. I think I just need to vent a bit but I’d also love to hear if anyone has experienced anything similar and how it worked out for you.

I’ve been on HRT about five months through PP. At both visits pre-T and after starting I had elevated blood pressure. Thought it was maybe stress or white coat syndrome but the nurse wanted me to get checked out anyway. So, I visit my PCP who is new to me, recently switched due to insurance changes. I told them I’m trans and that I’m on testosterone. They seemed understanding-ish but didn’t really ask questions either. They prescribed me a diuretic to lower my blood pressure and I filled the prescription and didn’t think much of it.

I was unaware that there wasn’t an openly gay NFL player until Carl Nassib’s post today. I sure hope others feel comfortable enough to follow in his footsteps.

I know it’s a very popular and much discussed subgenre here, but can we share our favorite sports MM romances in honor of his announcement? Bonus points for navigating coming out!

I’ll start us off with my most recent favorite, The Jock by Tal Bauer. Epic love story and actually made me interested in football. Also, I cried, more than once and stayed up til 2 am to finish it. Will be a reread, for sure.

Hi! Would love to find some new to me reads featuring the one bed trope. Any genre, preferably lots of steam.

Or, your favorite “uh oh, inclement weather, we better huddle together and definitely won’t fall in love” must reads… just finished Daybreak (V&V) by Kate Hawthorne and I would love to add some more forced proximity recs to my TBR! Thanks!

Lord help me but I’ve stumbled upon it and now I need it and I’m hoping y’all can help me find it. Of course it’s been sprinkled throughout a few other books, lots of HRs but two contemporary ones were especially chefs kiss ... they were:

  • Unbound by Cara McKenna
  • Dirty Rowdy Thing by Christina Lauren

Anyone have some similar ones to throw my way? Not picky about time period or setting. Dubcon not a dealbreaker but really enjoyed the “kink discovery” aspect of these. Honestly enamored of the shame/humiliation fetish in Unbound too. Who knew!

Thanks!

Not THOSE skills per se but like shooting, sailing, hunting, riding, etc! Not your typical feminine hobbies or professions and she’s better than he is. He hasn’t noticed her much or isn’t “all in” but then her skillset seals the crush. Historical w/ high steam preferred but open to whatever!

Most recent examples I’ve enjoyed are A Night To Surrender by Tessa Dare (loved!) and Captain of All Pleasures by Kresley Cole (enjoyed but thought it could’ve used better editing).

Thanks for any insights!!
