One bed… whatever shall we do?

Hi! Would love to find some new to me reads featuring the one bed trope. Any genre, preferably lots of steam.

Or, your favorite “uh oh, inclement weather, we better huddle together and definitely won’t fall in love” must reads… just finished Daybreak (V&V) by Kate Hawthorne and I would love to add some more forced proximity recs to my TBR! Thanks!

Taking about tropes... How common is the, OMG you might have a concussion so you will have to stay at my place but then during the night MC1 has a loud nightmare and so MC2 rushes to their side and then shenanigans ensues 😊

This is exactly the case with Keepsake by Sarina Bowen (F/M), are you sure you weren't the one who wrote it? Hahah

It also often coincides with MC1 leaving the hospital against medical advice as he is just too tough to rest up in a hospital bed

Gah, I love this too.

Conventionally Yours by Annabeth Albert had this trope. MCs are college-age kids traveling to a convention for a Magic the Gathering type game. This book also has the rivals to lovers trope.

If I think of more I’ll post them!

I really liked this book! But it's not very steamy, if that matters to anyone. I think it's a fade to black, if I remember correctly?

Thanks! I don’t mind FtB, just not my first preference - I’ll add it to my list!

Aw man. Neve Wilder’s Snow Blown is perfect for this but it was part of the Winter Wonderland giveaway this year and I don’t think you can get it anymore.

Dang. I dig Neve Wilder!

I would live to read this too! Isn't there any way to get the novel? :(

I haven’t found it anywhere. Maybe read out to Neve?

I'm reading this beautiful book, it's called "Dark Space" by Lisa Henry. You can read it for free on Kindle unlimited. There's also an audiobook on YouTube and I can send you a link for that if you're interested. It's a sci-fi and it starts as such, with a bit of a mistery and techno-bubble, but as you go on with the story... it just gets better and better.

I LOVE this series so much ❤️

And yeah, the characters are forced into a room together and to share thoughts.

Ooh I have KU and haven’t tried much sci-fi (unless orcs count? Haha). Thanks!

Omg. I’m 83% through, and it is heart wrenching. This author is so good. I love Brady’s voice.

I think Say You'll be Nine by Lucy Lennox will also fit

You've read it, have you? It really is well written.

Yes!! Would love to hear recs for the "have to share one bed" trope, especially when coupled with GFY.

Soldiers by Aleksandr Voinov has tons of huddling-for-warmth scenes. They're enemy soldiers who frequently end up in caves together and it's Afghanistan so the nights are freezing. There's tons of platonic and then not-so platonic cuddling for warmth. But please be aware that this is dark romance (the 'enemies' part isn't the cutesy rom-com version).

I’m down with that. Will give it a go for sure. Thanks!
