I recently started wearing my Seiko Alpinist (SPB249) again and I noticed the finishing is actually really good. The case, hands, indexes and dial are pretty much flawless and have some very fine detail. The hands for instance are half brushed, half polished, giving it a nice 3D effect.
The Grand Seiko (SBGX265) finishing really is on a dif
Grand Seiko is of course famous for their beautiful textured dials but I think an argument can be made that some of their plain dials are just as nice, like this SBGX265. It has a purple-blueish color with a subtle sunburst effect that's really hard to describe. To me the beautifully finished hands and indices are the real stars of the show and with this dial there's nothing that steals their attention.

christopherward.com/watches/c63-valour/C63-39...I made a pretty basic tomato-based sauce with some fresh vegetables, minced meat, some herbs, etc. Before I layered it with the pasta I tasted it and it was pretty good with plenty of flavor. But when it came out of the oven it tasted very differently, much more bland and boring.
Any idea as to why this could be and how to avoid it next time?
Hi, I'm not a doctor, but my wife is a GP at the beginning of her career. There's this situation that has come up in her practice that I'd like to get your opinion on.
One of her patients, an elderly woman, has expressed she wants to die and she wants my wife to start a euthanasia procedure. I don't know the details of the patient's condition, but I do know that my wife takes it very seriously and has indeed taken it upon herself to help this woman. This is going to be her first time, although she's been present at one during her internships.
Now, while my wife's job is to take care of her patients, it's mine to take care of my wife, so I'd like to know as much as possible about what it is
The other day I was listening to Shpongle and I noticed a great acoustic solo on their track Dorset Perception.
I thought this was a really unlikely genre for such a great solo and I was wondering if r/guitar has more examples like this.
Somebody once told me that he heard that George Michael had said that Wham's Last Christmas gets so much radio airplay each year during the holiday season that he could live comfortably off of whatever that makes him.
Could someone here that has more knowledge of the music/radio business confirm or deny if this is even possible?
