Hello,
I I have been working within the mining industry for about 5 years now in a variety of capacities. I am currently a haul truck driver and I actually really like the job. The nature of this question is more of a future planning one. Mainly I am curious as to the best route to take in order to stay working while building the skills and gaining the knowledge needed to get a job in on the exploration side of things. I've done a bit of research and found this: http://www.northernc.on.ca/mining-engineering-technician/. I was wondering if taking this through the blended delivery option would be worth it with my goals in mind. Is distance education and blended learning taken serious by emplo
Hey! I just found out that I will be getting 10 days off in November and me and my girlfriend are discussing taking a trip during this time. At first we were discussing Italy or another EU country but have since drifted away from that idea due to less than ideal weather at the time. I'm thinking Argentina, Peru or Chile might be the best bet but am open to suggestions. We are both also noobs at international travel so a relatively safe spot might be best. Any suggestions on specific places that are cheap but still nice in November and doable in 10 days (including travel time) would be great! Thanks
Hey guys, I feel like this isn't exactly the right place to post this but after looking over a few related subs I think it may be my best bet. This weekend my dad and I went on a backcountry fishing trip and while on that trip I realized I've had enough of "waterproof" hiking boots. Most of our days were spent in waders and the evenings were spent in our hiking boots around camp, my dad did anyways. I ended up having to keep my waders on because early on in the trip I managed to completely soak my hiking boots by accidentally stepping in a bog hole. They were clunky gore tex boots and no matter how hard I tried they just wouldn't dry. My point with all this is that I am now looking for a p
Hey guys, just about to put these guys into retirement so I thought id post some pictures. I got these in September of 2014 just as I started trade school, wore them everyday (minus a day here and there for a wash) until june when I began working a series of jobs which were to dirty to wear them at. That combined with the addition of a few other pairs to the rotation heavily reduced their wear to a few evenings a week and maybe one day during the weekend. They were washed about every month, give or take. Enjoy the pictures!
