Hi MTG community, my partner has been an MTG player since childhood, it's their primary hobby, they are deeply knowledagable about it, and I've learned so much and love it too.
We will be exchanging rings in the next few months, and I would love to get them a ring that is inspired by MTG.

When asked what kind of ring they would like, they said: tungsten, rose gold, or Gandalf's ring (Narya). So I'd love to add MTG to the mix but it's so vast, I wouldn't know if there's any lore/ good cards/themes related to partnership, love, commitment, etc.

Any resources, MTG cards, thoughts, experiences on this would be cherished and appreciated :)

Hola! I'm very excited to visit CDMX with my family, to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. I'm staying in Condesa neighbourhood. Can I please get some recommendations to restaurants that are fun and lively - maybe they have live music or dancing, or something unique going on.

We are 5 adults (25-60 age range). A halal restaurant would be amazing, but if not, the restaurant should have good fish, seafood, and vegetarian options. It doesn't have to be fine dining, but something with great atmosphere and food is ideal :)

Why do humans fear death more than anything else? There's nothing to fear. Death is natural, death is guaranteed, we must all return to the land. That's what I tell myself so I can stop thinking about it... but I can never stop thinking about it.

I imagine what it would be like for my mom to get a call about my death. I imagine my loved ones being heartbroken, what would they say gathered at my funeral? They wouolld be crushed... my eyes water as I think about it.

Why am I asking? I want to hear some stories from others like me out there before I quit.

I (32F) am 7 years into my PHd (Immigration Policy) and haven't yet finalized my proposal. The steps remaining are to find a 3rd committee member, finalize proposal, defend it, conduct research, write the dissertation, and defend that. I love my topic, too.

I work full-time (9-5 job) to pay bills and support family and I've been doing my studies during evenings/ weekends for almost 7 years. I love the skills and confidence I have achieved through work. I don't need the PhD to get a high-paying job in an interesting field, I'm

Hiiii, fellow dnd peeps! So my party sorta pushed their way into visiting a black market and I had no plans for that kind of scene but they got so excited so I gave in :)

I have some ideas: i looked up two different 100-item lists of fantasy/magical items and I think I'll describe a sketchy shop owner/setting and have them roll 3x d100 to "see the wares at shop owners discretion." Then I can look at my list and show them those 3 items. I can sorta DM fudge it if the d100 rolls link with something too powerful?

Idk how fun this will be and would love some ideas or hear about ways you might have done/experienced a black market shopping scene.

I felt the earthquake in my legs as I was sitting at home. Why are my thighs jiggling and my ankles quivering... and the desk is also swaying. It must be an earthquake? I look around me at furniture that's sliding and buckling. It's not that bad. A crack forms in the middle of the ceiling. My books topple off the shelves. My laptop slides right off my desk.
