I have to admit to getting totally irritated in the past when people would talk about early pregnancy and say they "just knew." How annoying, right?

So, uh. Now that's totally me.

Feel free to skip down to the good stuff, as my history is kind of drawn out.

Let me back up and apologize for being a total lurker here since we started trying for number two in January. My first was conceived on our honeymoon, when we had barely decided to just stop preventing.

My daughter is 16 months old and still nurses with some frequency, so my cycles were wonky and short, and I slowly went from trying when my CM looked promising, to OPK testing multiple times a day - which showed I was ovulating much l

I've got a bit of a freezer stash saved up and my daughter has had bottles a few times, but recently she's started refusing bottles or only taking an ounce or so, and then refusing. I've noticed a nasty taste to some of the milk that's been reheated.

I would definitely say the taste is more sour/rancid than soapy. So it's possible the milk has sat out too long (though unlikely) and I did have a small batch that was thawed in the fridge and refrozen; would that be enough to make it rancid? I've noticed the smell in milk that's been refrigerated for a few days, too. Or is this probably excess lipase? Is there a surefire way to tell without wasting milk?

Yesterday I tried a sippy for the firs

So my 3 month old has been striking for over a month. When asleep she feeds fine, and very occasionally she will nurse normally, but in general every single feed is a huge fight. I'm talking 3-15 minutes worth of crying, rocking, bouncing, finger sucking, etc. She does always eventually eat, and once I letdown she's completely fine, so I haven't needed to give her a bottle yet, luckily. But this is exhausting and heartbreaking, and it's keeping me from going back to work (I can take her with me, but not until she is nursing calmly.)

We've spoken to 3 LCs and a LLL leader who expressed varying degrees of confusion. She did have a cold when it all started, and has become much more aware and di

My two month old daughter woke up this morning congested and with a low grade fever (100.0F rectal). She seems uncomfortable but not inconsolable. What eod you do in this scenario to keep her comfortable? I'd rather not give meds unless her fever spikes.

My daughter was born on January 29th, and at first breastfeeding was going extremely well. She has a bit of a shallow latch but I haven't had any pain since the first week, and she's put on weight very well so far, plus plenty of wet diapers. Luckily I've never had to worry that she's getting enough.

This past week or so, though, we've been dealing with what I think is an overactive letdown and oversupply. I get really engorged between feelings (about every 3 hours, or less), and she's constantly pulling off and choking/coughing. Weirdly, though, it's barely a fast drip when she pulls off, not spraying or anything. Can that still qualify as a forceful letdown? Or is there something else go
