I have used mythic a lot, but recently I switched my fate check to a 3d6 oracle. Here is the description of the rules I use, and I am really happy with it and wanted to share them. It works really similar to the mythic fate check, you roll 3d6 against 11. 11 or more is a yes, 10 or less is a no.

You can modify it the same as the fate check with +1 for likely and so on. The probability curve does follow the fate chart better than the 2d10 check, that is suggested. (for example, a 3d6 against 11 is a 50 % yes for an unmodified dice roll, a 2d10 against 11 is a 55% yes for an unmodified dice roll).

I get an event, when three dice show the same number. So the events are no longer dependent on

Hey, I am currently running a fun campaign with onepagerules age of fantasy. I am a solo wargamer and dont have the miniatures in order to play the game properly with all the factions I want, so I created a few systems in order to play a campaign with the OPR. I basically use foundry as the tabletop simulation, where I position the tokens / miniatures accordingly. I also use foundry to map the army movements against the campaign map.

I use the "solo wargaming guide" by william sylvester as the basis of the rules. Then I overlayed a bit of rpg elements with characters for each faction. Each round two or more factions go at war against each other, then I plot the army movements and resolve t

When I am playing solo games, I tried to not use any computers or screens. I work in a programming job and stare at screen light all day and try to get away from it in my free time as much as possible.

One problem I faced was naming NPCs. There are great online resources available and only a few published tables. But there are little offline methods for naming randomly (Ironsworn is the best one I found so far). Most naming books just give you a list of names to choose from.

So I created a method for myself for naming my NPC, which I wanted to share with you. Normally I find a style of names I like (e.g. english names, scandinavian names, and so on) and write a few of them down with number

I really enjoy the old school d&d (becmi) and ad&d, but find myself flipping throught those large tomes of rulebooks. I know how the rules work, but sometimes need to lookup the specifics of a table. I was wondering if there is some kind of book for either system with just the tables. I know that the AD&D 2e PHB had a all its tables in the back, but the GM tables were in a diffrent tome alltogether.

Do you know of something like that? It could also be of a compatible osr clone. What do you think?

I am still learning this game, but I have a very good german run right now. It is the beginning of 1944, and I conquered the soviet union, france, uk and the usa. I am the strongest nation by far and want to conquer the rest of the world (or at least turn them all facist).

But ... the world is at peace. How can I declare war on all those minors as fast as possible? I tried justifying, but that takes around ~160 days of waiting per nation, which is not that fast ... is there any trick?

I recently watched a lot of the old walt disney cartoons, the ones in black and white, which are mostly animated musical numbers. I was wondering, how they were typically viewed in the theater. First of all they were quite short (around 7 minutes, so less than a lot of youtube vlogs). Would people get in the cinema as a "friends event", were you watch the movie together? Was such a cartoon viewed alone, or were more of them linked together to get to a movie length? And how much would the admission cost?

I recently coded a mission generator for ksp. I mostly play in sandbox mode, and sometimes need some direction in the game. Maybe you find it useful too. It uses a lot of the reddit challenges, but also creates new challenges on the fly. You can play with the generator here:

I really look forward to your feedback!

As the title says, whats your one killer move? I am still a noob, but really want to rule this game.

For me it was the realisation, that I could DOW an alliance partner to get the juicy lands of my original target. I could dow venice, so austria joins, so I only face austria and venice and not all of the hre, when i dow austria directly :) you can even force the alliance partner into war, if they have a truce with you.

Hey, i have been playing eu4 for a while now, but i am scared of all the dlcs. Which ones are essential to the game and why? I dont want to spend over 200 bucks right now on all of them.

Which is the strongest superhero you could beat? You have 1 year prep time to take him or her out, and get 1 billion dollar for everything you need. If you fail, the superhero will get bloodlusted and kill out everyone you know, then he or her is going for you.

I want to invite some friends over for a retro gaming night some day in the future. Which snes games would you recommend? I have access to 4 controller and already have mario cart, tmnt and super mario. What else should i get?

It was my second season as fulham and we just won promotion to premier league. My finances were fine, but suddenly all my players were wanting new contracts. I had my mind in scouting and preparing the team for the big jump, so I told my chairman to negotiate new contracts for me.

Big mistake!

My 22 year old prospect went from 50k euro per month to 450 k per month, my wage budget jumped in two month from 1.8 million per month to 4.3 million per month, without me even buying new players. Worst of all: I now have 14 key players and 8 first team players. Well, seems I need a new squad (or a new save)...

Following scenario: all our current world leaders are teleported back in time. They find themselves in the year 1939, the one where the second world War started. The War is already declared. The world leaders of that era are teleported to our times. They switch places.

So, war is still coming, how would our leaders handle it? Would Merkel be a good fuehrer? Would Obama have a chance? How would Putin rule his Soviet Union?

And for the second round: what would Hitler and Stalin do with modern borders and weapons?
