By dismantling the coal policy that protected our mountains from mountain top removal coal mining and sabotaging our backcountry recreation areas you have successfully done something I never could!

You made my climate change denying, pro-oil and gas, staunch conservative father an environmentalist.

My brother just shared a picture of “Ezekiel 4:9 Bread” with the comment “I wonder if people actually read the verse?”

For myself I am happy if they stop at verse 9 - I would not ever want to eat 4:12 bread...

In many ways the liberals stand for the same things I do- climate change, LGBTQ rights, women’s healthcare. However, this assault on Law abiding Canadian gun owners is unconscionable.

It seems that going after people who have been screened, and are currently licensed to hold non-restricted (semi autos), restricted (hand guns and the AR 15) and prohibited (small caliber and short barrelled handguns) is a small minded approach to address a real problem.

If we take just the proposed buy back of one rifle - the AR 15, at the indicated $1500/rifle with a claimed quarter of a million registered - we quickly arrive at a dollar value that could make a real difference - if applied to a real problem

This week I lugged around my old Enfield as a saddle rifle on a pack trip.

I decided I need something different. Less awkward more protected from the elements. River dipping may occur and tent life is not always dry.

An outfitter recomended the Marlin 45 70. Nice, probably more than I need. Bear protection is in the relm of desire but, more practical use would be possible humane destruction of an injured mount.

Never had a bad bear event but have had horse close calls and a friend had horror stories of using his axe.

I am thinking of a Mosberg 30-30 in Marinecote. Inexpensive comparitivly it seems but, some reviews are harsh.

Others say its great for the purpose. Any experince in this
