Bass fishing in Austin

fishing spot question

Just moved from Waco and the fishing there sucked shit pretty much all year long. At least for me.

Where at can I find decent bass fishing where I’ll get some bites? I saw that Walter E. Long lake has good bass fishing year-round, but that post was from a year or so ago.

Where are y’all fishing and what lures seem to work? Specifically if anyone knows individual hotspots within bodies of water, that would be cool to know

I have a kayak so I can go anywhere on the water.

Thanks

Hello. Hoping to find some advice.

I cant seem to find models that I personally find interesting enough to continue working on or painting long term.

I think all the Warhammer minis look really interesting, and I’d like to paint them, but they’re WAY too expensive.

Military models are in my price range (maybe a little higher than I’d like), but the painting gets kinda boring, in terms of colors used

Gundams are fun to build, but they kinda look too much like a “toy” rather than a “model” to me. No offense there btw.

Outside of these, is there really any other bigger named companies that make models that need assembly and painting? I only say “bigger named” because I’d ideally like a l

Not finding any info on this, but it looks like the 2005-07 models have an additional light located in the lower inner corner of the headlights

I know you can made a few small cuts to the 2003 to PHYSICALLY fit these headlights in, but my question is, what is the wiring situation I will need to do to get all three lights running functioning as intended. Those being: Low/Highbeam, turn indicator and DRL

Here are two photos of what I'm talking about

Car: 2003 Sequoia Limited 4wd 4.7L V8
Miles: ~220,000

I'm wanting to do some preventative maintenance on it because the previous owner took so good care of it, and I want it to keep running till I die, preferably.

I'm seeing online a lot of talk about the idea of fully flushing your transmission fluid on higher milage engines that have not had a change at the recommended time being a bad thing due to the old fluid having particulates and gunk that serves as compensation the transmission needs to not slip when shifting. And that when you flush and replace with all new oil, the transmission is now exhibiting all the issues it currently has that were compensated previously by the old flu

Apologies if the video isn't the most helpful. I'm hoping that the movement of the driveshaft is helpful in determining the cause

Car: 2003 Sequoia Limited - 220K miles

Issue:
When going into reverse/drive from any other gear, the car will make an audible *clunk* noise accompanied by a slight lurch. The lurch is not terrible, its almost like a thud feeling than an actual back an forth lurching movement. It almost feels like you are in reverse and you let you foot off the brake for a micro-second and then reapply the brakes.
The clunk noise is not super loud, but definitely audible.

I cannot seem to find anything online that is a definitive resolution to this other than people recom

I keep my 12' kayak on the roof of my SUV permanently as I live upstairs in an apartment and dont have any other storage solution for it.

I'd like to get a cover for it, but all the ones I see online are either:

  1. Decently priced, but a universal fit style that will not be as snug as I'd like, giving me worries of it being buffed by the wind while on the highway. As well as just looking kinda ugly in my opinion

  2. Ones priced higher than I'd like to spend that are made from material that is more stretchy, achieving a more form fitted look and function.

Does anyone have any homemade solution or online buy recommendations? The kayak is the one seen here but not the 10 foot one the g

Just got a kayak and am wanting to finally start fishing in the lake. I took it out earlier this week an caught a smallmouth in between that little island and the shore near the Airport Beach Park, but that was the only thing to bite in the hour or two I was out.

What spots have bass that are biting good this time of year in the lake? And what do you find works best for bait/lures? Also, what time of day is ideal for bass fishing in the lake during these Fall months?

Need some assistance on this.
My monitor is an ACER KG241Y. The OSD menu is navigated by a little joy-stick on the back of the monitor that allows you to click it inwards to select and move it up/down/left/right.

Current issue is that the monitor is randomly detecting a downward input on this controller and is randomly (once about every 10-120 seconds) popping up the OSD menu. I know that it is detecting a downward input because if I wait for it to automatically pop up, as it does, then click the button to bring up the settings to flick through in the menu, it starts automatically scrolling downward through these settings.

Sometimes the speed of the scrolling is slow. about one downwa
