My pedestal fan had a circular rim with a latch that went around the edge of the cage to keep the two halves of the cage together. It broke and the company won't let me buy a new one. I am using zip ties to hold the two halves together now but this is annoying when I have to open it up to clean it. I've tried searching for "fan lock", "latches for fan", etc., but can't find a replacement. I also tried velcro strips but that doesn't work well either. Anyone know where to find a part like this or something that may work better than zip ties?

I noticed a few months back they made it so the vote count for posts increases in front of your eyes. I thought it was in real time but it's actually bs - it shows a lower number of votes than reality then gradually increases it to the real number. It's annoying af - I want to see the real numbers, not this fake counter shit. It disappeared after a while, but then it came back, disappeared again for a while, and now it's back again. Any way to just turn this shit off entirely?
