Hi all - recently picked up two rolls of 250D. I loaded one into my Trip 35, where it drags significantly and I’m afraid will stop winding. The other went into my Rebel G, which only registered 28 of 36 exposures, took one photo, and then stopped working (getting the uselessly inaccurate “dead battery” warning).

Anything I can do to salvage these? Has anyone else had luck using this film with the same cameras? Am I just an idiot?

I'm headed to JTree for my first ever climbing trip later this fall. I've been climbing for about a year in my Oxygyms, which are starting to get holes in the toe. It's time to upgrade. I mostly boulder, but will be doing some rope climbing on this trip too. Looking for recommendations for a good, versatile shoe for the trip that isn't so neutral that I won't want to wear them bouldering when I'm back home, primarily climbing in a gym.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

ETA: thanks for the suggestions, if you have more keep em coming! Just updating to add that I recognize I’m going to need to go try on a lot of shoes to see what feels right, I just want to have a starting point whe

Hey all! Headed to Atlanta for the first time in years for a conference. It's a packed agenda so I want to maximize my little free time. Seeking recommendations in/around Peachtree Center/SONO/Old 4th Ward for:

  • Best iced coffee/cold brew (bonus points for a stellar breakfast sandwich)
  • Scenic running
  • Dinner (bonus points for a+ cocktails or stellar beer list)
  • Climbing gyms - especially bouldering
  • Breweries

I promise I checked the FAQ... I clicked through a couple of the guides but the ones I pulled up were each 7 years old. Would love some current suggestions if folks are willing to share!

Cheers!

Visiting in a couple weeks with 2 friends. After a few days on Phi Phi we need to get to Krabi by 7 am or 9 am to head north for a jungle tour. This is long before the first ferry from Phi Phi to Krabi. The only option I'm seeing is charting a speedboat for 18,000+ BHT. Are there less expensive water taxis/boats for hire that will transfer us from Phi Phi to Krabi reliably, early in the morning? Thanks!

New to the forum so my apologies if I've broken any rules - please let me know. It has bugged me for YEARS that I can't remember the name of a movie I loved as a kid, and my search efforts have been dead ends.

All I have to go on is this: I watched it in either the late 80s or very early 90s. There is a scene where the main character, a little girl I think, is given headphones that are actually two little wooden boxes, one has a bird and one has a frog, if memory serves. The only other scene I really remember is the little girl'a mysterious or exiled older brother showing up during a lightening storm with a cape. Possibly wearing all black.

I'd love to track it down - any help is greatly a

Sometimes you wake up and you're 31 and you're just out of a long term relationship and your lesbian friends are all... Married. To men. I'm surrounded by straight people, despite living in a liberal east coast city with plenty of queers around. But your 30s are a tough time to make new friends. Plus, there are no lesbian bars anymore, just a couple of loud dance nights a month and that's not really conducive to organically making friends. Anyone else experiencing the same?

Hi all - my Apple TV 4 is behaving oddly. In Hulu, video works for commercials, overlay always works, but there is no video for shows. Just a black screen and audio and the network logo.

In Netflix video initially works, cuts out, but comes back if I toggle my finger around the remote's trackpad a bit. This fix does not work for Hulu.

I can play trailers in the iTunes Store but when I rented a movie I got an HDCP error.

I have had this Apple TV since December, and it has been connected to the same TV (a Panasonic) without physical disruption or any chance to set up since. It worked great up until about a month ago. I have tried a couple of recommended HDMI cables -- GE ultra pro and Mon
