This is kind of a short success story of progress I wanted to share :) 13 week old mini dachshund, I've had him since last Saturday (about 12 days together now)
Every waking second he usually wants to be around me, even if it is to nap. He's a nugget, I love him. This quarantine has been great for our bonding and for me to start housebreaking him, but also scary as I need to make sure he knows how to hang out in the house without me whenever I have to go back to the office.
I have a pen setup in my apartment and a wire crate. He seems to HATE the look of being gated in, so I've had issues with him hanging out in his crate voluntarily, or just being alone in the crate, or the pen in that ca
So i think someone the other day said that spitfire has a dope strings pack... well it does! It also has a ton of other free sounds that I'm absolutely blown away by.

Highly suggest anyone who wants to play around with a free synth to download the free packs and play around. I'm seriously blown away.
Hello! I got a 12 week old mini dachshund a week ago or so.
For the most part, things are going really well! I live in an apartment and have some peepads/turfs set up on my apartment patio (6th floor) and I let him out to pee there and he's been frequently doing so. We go when he wakes up from naps/sleep, after he eats, at least every hour if he's up and about, sometimes he gets fussy when we're playing and I take him out ad-hoc. There's the occasional miss but it's because his upper half is on the pad, but the bottom half isn't,
However... every now and then, we'll go out on the patio when I know he has to pee (i read all the signs), and we do the whole song and dance, and he does not pee
Hey! I've been plant based for about 5 weeks now and have been feeling great. At first I entirely replaced my protein sources with either black beans or hummus but that made me bloated and very gassy. Add mushrooms to the mix and boy oh boy was that problematic. I exercise a fair amount so sometimes need an extra supplement of protein, or my plates just need some more protein to round out the macros.
I've recently started exploring soy (a fair amount of tempeh) as a protein source but wanted an arsenal of protein variety. What's everyone has been using as sources of protein??
Hey all,
I just moved to LA and have a "9-5" job in DTLA close to the Staple Center. I'm considering Culver City, Silver Lake, or DTLA as options to live but I know very little about any of those areas, so I'm going off of recommendations from friends and acquaintances. I'm a 29 y/o single straight man, I work long hours during the week but like to go out/socialize/explore during the weekends. I love the beach and the West side, and have not explored much of the East side or it's nightlife.
My biggest concerns are:
-
Minimize Commute and avoid commuting in a car:
- I know CC is 30 minutes to my office using the Expoline
- West of Silver Lake could provide the Red Line or be a
