I'm an indie / synthpop solo artist, and I write and record my tracks in Ableton Live. I'm looking for a new solution for playing backing tracks live. I would love to find a groovebox that would allow me to play a long audio file (my backing track file, so maybe 3-5 mins depending on song) but also allow me to record new drum loops on top of it on the fly. I was able to do this with my old MPC1000, even though it seemed more like a workaround than an actual feature.

My current groovebox is an Electribe 2 Sampler. While I enjoy the drum programing, parameter tweaking, and effects on the Electribe, it can only hold 99 secs of audio, so it isn't suited for this task.

I graduated from grad school as a speech language pathologist in May of 2017. In July 2017 I started a job at a nursing home. However, I was let go 3 months later due to low productivity (the job had extremely high productivity demands and they weren't willing to work with a new grad to help me meet them). I then spent about a year and a half working with my partner's family's retail company in a retail management position.

In July 2019 I started another job as a speech language pathologist, this time at a public school. It was an absolutely gruesome job, which they lied about almost every aspect of during the interview. The stress was insurmountable and I quit with no notice in October 201

I have some friends coming over who own PSVR but they want to see what the Index can do. What should I show them that would impress them, given that they already have access to multiplatform VR games like Beat Saber, etc? I plan on showing them The Lab and HL:A. What else would impress PSVR owners? Thanks!

Edit: thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Turns out all I needed was The Lab and HL:A to blow their freaking minds haha

My amazing partner ordered me an Index for my birthday but we are now realizing that Half-Life: Alyx will be added to his library, not mine. However, my PC is the more powerful one and the one that we will use to play Index. Has anyone else been in this situation and found a solution? Is this something Valve support can help with? Any info would be appreciated!
