For me a watch is a watch whether it’s worth $10 or $10000.
When do you stop calling it a watch and start calling it a timepiece (or even worse, a piece)?
To me the term timepiece seems like a pretentious buzzword that luxury brands might have made up. But if you look inside a Rolex the name says “Montres Rolex S.A.” which basically translates as “Rolex Watch Co. Ltd” Meanwhile if you go to the Patek Phillippe website you get “Luxury Watches for Men & Ladies” in the website description.
So who is actually calling them timepieces? Where did this term come from!? If you google “watch vs timepiece” most of the articles are nonsense and just support the pretension while ignoring the fact
Can anyone recommend someone who can repair vintage Casios?
I have 2 dead twin graph II AE-22w and I’d like to try and at least get one of them working!
It isn’t batteries as I’ve tried 3 new batteries in each!
Actually if there’s someone outside the UK I don’t mind that either!
Sorry if this has been answered before but I couldn’t find it if so
So I have a spare Omega 3220 movement lying around and I was wondering if there’s anyone who supplies a case for it, or if there’s anyone who can 3D print one maybe?
Ideally I want clear plastic but would be fine with anything machined that I could drop the movement into :)
Thanks!
