I just played my first game (of Arenas) on my Fedora SilverBlue install. It worked perfectly; in fact, I'm actually getting about 25% more frames per second than on my Windows 10 install on the same hardware. This is fantastic!

Thank you, Respawn!

Here's my take on a CTF mode for BR. It'd be a "hardcore" mode, trying to force fights and vary the gameplay throughout the match.

Objective: Capture the Flags

Three flags are placed across the map. Teams race to capture these flags and hold onto them. Collecting all three flags or being the last squad standing are the win conditions. While holding a flag makes a team a beacon, it also heals them for a substantial amount (50hp, 50 shields?) upon the elimination of an enemy to help them fight off the oncoming waves of foes.

The intention is to create pockets of activity and combat right off the drop, and giving advantage to teams that can win sustained fights, without making sai

Is it possible to mod Cims so they actually have money, and get paid from their jobs? I'm not very familiar with modding Cities, but I think it would be really interesting to see how it plays with a more in-depth economy

I want to buy your War Games Bundle, it's a good deal if I wanted even 3 of the skins. That Bloodhound skin though?

Well, I'd give it to my buddy if it were a token or something. He would LOVE it.

It came up earlier today in another thread and I've kinda been thinking about it all day since. While we can complain all we want about the lack of game modes in Apex, I think what we really need is Custom Games.

I think back to the old days of Halo 2 and the like, and how the custom games led to all kinds of new game modes that came from the community. If Apex offered us a similar functionality, I think it would be a huge asset to the game's community, as well as reduce the amount of work Respawn would need to do to keep the community engaged long term.

If I were a product designer over at Respawn, I'd break it down like so.

I think that the group on Roshar known as the Ghostbloods is in fact the new crew of the Cognitive Shadow Formerly Known as Kelsier, with the intention of returning him to life.

After Oathbringer, we've learned that cognitive shadows are able to inhabit the bodies of Parshendi and other native Rosharan creatures. After the end of Mistborn: Secret History, we know Kelsier is looking for a way to return to life.

I think it would be an interesting way to explain what Kelsier has been up to in the Cosmere for the past few hundred years.

For me, I really dislike working in Java. Of course, I work in a Java shop (not writing code for the product). While I want to learn the language, every time I find myself setting up the Java project and thinking "I'd be done already if I used Python for this."

Has anyone else struggled with this kind of thing? How did you overcome it?
