I am in an English class and just got my first essay graded with a big fat zero. I have no idea if this is just a placeholder because the professor says she has been behind in grading, but she has a zero tolerance policy on using AI to plagiarize our writing, so I am worried that this is the reason for it. I ran my essay on ZeroGPT and it comes back saying it was 49% AI written and it wasn't! I literally wrote the rough draft completely scratch and I only used AI to refine the grammar and to remove run off sentences with suggestions for better ones, but I didn't flat out copy-paste my essay from ChatGPT. I quite literally just had another writing assignment due tonight and I wrote everything
I’ve been in furniture sales for quite a while and occasionally lurk on here for advice and relatable posts, I can’t lie, despite still technically being a salesman, I feel like a fish out of water here.
Even then, I’ve talked to and have met plenty of people also in sales and out of the few dozen I’ve met, only two have been in enterprise software or tech sales. One random guy at a bar selling enterprise software, and my former coworker who actually left tech sales to come sell furniture with us, yet on this Reddit sub, it feels like it’s almost exclusively SaaS and tech sales discussions.
I’m not knocking the industry at all. I’m genuinely just perplexed and wondering if anyone else out
I’m currently at a community college studying business and planning to transfer into Information Systems (or something similar like MIS/CIS).
I’m a non-traditional student I am 27, working full-time in sales, and doing school part-time. Because of that, I’m pretty limited to online programs or nearby schools. Unfortunately, my local state schools don’t really offer dedicated IS/MIS degrees unless I move, which isn’t realistic for me financially. The closest option is a BSBA with an IT concentration.
I’m fine with doing school online, but I’m worried about missing out on networking and especially internships. With my work schedule, I realistically won’t be able to do a traditional internshi

TLDR: I have been extremely stressed financially and mentally from work and realize I am alone in this. If my girlfriend is in a terrible mood all month(not that she is she is great, I’m just saying) from work or something, I would be there to support her, but if I complained about this(my job) to her to the real extent of impact towards me, she would worry and question my competence and grit in the relationship. We do not get that same luxury as men. I know you are supposed to be vulnerable with one another and that it is okay to have bad days. But what tf do you do when it’s bad WEEKS? I absolutely hate having to bottle up my emotions or worse lie, but I can’t keep pretending like ever
I made a serious stride beginning of last year to get my life back in control, and I had amazing success. I moved away from my parents, I got a new job *back* in sales(which was my original industry) and even finished some community college semesters. On top of all of this I managed to find some new friends, reconnect with some family, and am now in a happy new relationship.
Well now end of year and start of 2026, I am in a sales slump — the worst slump I have ever been in. I have had multiple streaks of seeing little to no foot traffic. I have burned through all of my leads I have generated since my 6 months on the floor here, so I am basically dependent on people walking through the doo

I can already see the comments about how it’s much safer to exit than normal parking, but unless you’re sandwiched between two 4x4s every single time you park, I highly doubt it’s really necessary, just pull out slowly. I’ve seen people reverse park their lifted trucks inside EMPTY parking lots. And I’m talking in the dead middle of the lot, not against a curb. Like who and what cars are you being vigilant for?
It’s a lot harder to argue now with rear cameras on modern vehicles. But still. I’m convinced it’s for the “yeahhh…” factor more than anything else for half of them.
(Yes I can reverse park, I just don’t care for it)
Hello guys. Hope this is welcome here. I am not in car sales, but furniture/mattress sales, and you guys are the most similar to us in terms of direct sales and using up-systems so you would understand best.
r/sales is oversaturated with too many remote/tech sales bros and not enough people in direct sales, expect for the D2D guys.
I am struggling to stay motivated at my current role. I have drunk the kool-aid enough about the whole “staying positive” thing and learned to not get discouraged or give into despair during slow times. I’ve been in the industry for 2+ years now and have experienced slow seasons, but my god this summer takes the cake. We were all eating during Memorial Day and
I just ate pasta after class, only other day off work, had a headache and then next thing I knew, I woke up at 12am and went back to sleep. I also had the most vivid dream last night.
[repost here since, unsurprisingly, r/college removed it for literally no reason]
It is hitting me hard this semester. I am a year in community college and have been doing part time while working full time. I have decided that if I want to graduate anytime soon, I am going to need to beef up my course load and now am doing 10 credits 3 classes. Planned on doing 4 but was advised not to. The accounting course I am taking I already know will be tough. The professor was NOT playing around in the first day of class, so I know I am gonna in for a treat this semester. I can’t drop this class, and honestly, I don’t want to, she seems like the “tough love” type of person and I feel this class is g
