Does anyone have any recommended pet / cat insurance providers that they have had good experiences with in terms of coverage, vets accepting/reimbursements, etc? It seems like the rates are all over the place. TIA!
woah, it's almost time to vote!
Given the insane amount of political texts and mail that we've all been inundated with, I tried to create a helpful and hopefully as neutral as possible overview of SF politics give an informed overview of the various propositions at stake. I also provided some links and references to other sources but I am not affiliated with any of them. Either way, please vote! 🙏

Currently have a 2016 Prius and husband has a fun manual Miata that I can’t drive lol (he’s trying to teach me but we need a practical car too). The Prius is totally fine but would love a little more pep and better handling. Originally was just going to buy the new Prius but other than it not being generally available, it’s also gotten rather expensive! Don’t have kids so space isn’t a huge deal and don’t drive daily just quick errands <25 mi but want a 5 seater.
Currently considering the Cr-v hybrid, nx-hybrid, cx-5, or A5 sportback, x3 or…? Unfortunately the more I research the more conflicted I am - hoping you guys can help me! TIA!

Was considering getting a Litter Genie Plus but noticed that there are some competitors out there like --
- Litter Genie Roll
- Modkat litter keeper
- Litter Champ
Does anyone have any experience with these and know if one is better than the other? Open to other suggestions as well. TIA!
I'm interested in learning to drive a manual car since we acquired one but only my husband knows how to drive it and I don't want to mess it up! I've only driven automatic. Wouldn't mind going the "learning from a friend" route but don't know anyone with an old car lying around. I did a little research and there are two schools it seems like that are in the Bay Area. Does anyone have any experience with either and whether additional lessons are required? Open to other suggestions as well. Thanks in advance!
hello! I stumbled upon https://www.brightspotdesign.com/collections/art-prints (really cute stuff) and was thinking since it's AAPI month, I would try to support a local bay area AAPI artist/SMB and perhaps encourage others to do the same :)
does anyone have any recommendations for something along these lines?
Has anyone had any experience with Blue Aura Russian Blues Cattery?
I've always wanted a Russian Blue and they seem to be the closest option. Welcome any other advice/tips. TIA!
Just got an eastman kahuna outdoor burner (kenji's 2nd pick rec). i own a 14" flat bottom wok with wood side handle & wood regular handle (https://www.wokshop.com/newstore/product/carbon-steel-wok-with-wood-side-handle-made-usa/) but given the size of the outdoor burner, was wondering if I get an additional wok -- ya'll have recs on whether to step up in size (16") and do the metal side handle one instead with wood hand handle (https://www.wokshop.com/newstore/product/carbon-steel-wok-with-metal-side-handle/) or
i think my favorite dish is a toss up between Beit Rima's chicken shish tawook plate and Dong Bei Mama's steamed fish fillet with tofu

- speakeasy (big outdoor patio)
- pacifica brewing (back patio)
- biergarten (patio)
