Yes, I know they're old, but they've been troopers, on nearly 24/7 for over 10 years. But since I'm replacing my firewall and one of the ports on one of my pair of SG300s has died, I thought I'd consider something newer.

I know the straight replacement product (SG350-10MP) is generally frowned upon as it doesn't run IOS and some of the config is confusing, but I'm having some trouble finding other alternatives.

General requirements:

  • Small size, low noise. One is in a home office, the other in a living room, so no 48port Catalysts with jet engine fans.
  • At least 8ports gig speed for local traffic + at least two more 1, 2.5, or 10gb for links between floors.
  • PoE+. I want rid of t

New hardware time. I've been using an Aliexpress special for around eight years. No real complaints until recently; six months ago it started randomly rebooting, errors on SSD. Then over the weekend it just died. No video output, no BIOS beeps, just dead other than power LEDs, so time for something new.
Old kit looks like a clone of a Protectli FW6C; six gig ports, i5 7200, mSATA storage so I figure anything newer would be quicker\more power efficient. I've come down to one of two replacements:
Protectli VP2430 (https://eu.protectli.com/product/vp2430/)
Topton mini PC thing (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005010292814013.html)

Prices are similar. The Topton's 2x10Gbps SFP tempts f

I understand the rule covering when you can use money in the old Childcare Voucher scheme is up to Sept.1st following the childs 15th birthday, 16 if disabled.

However, does anyone know what the specific definitions for this are? e.g. Can I pay in August for a service that won't be provided until after September 1st?

Probably a dumb question, but I've checked settings in Bazzite desktop and sleep time is set to 10mins, but when sat in Big Screen mode, PC only falls asleep after 1hr. Is there a setting somewhere I've missed? I'd like to make it 20mins or so

Probably a dumb question, but when Bazzite says it's 'single user only' in Game Mode, does that mean just the underlying OS, or the Steam experience itself? i.e. you cannot allow multiple Steam accounts within Steam game mode itself?

Had a bit of a data problem and had to recover from backups so I need to somehow generate a list of missing media.

Advanced filters in Libraries to show Trash=True doesn't work, showing zero titles, even if I know there's media marked as Unavailable.

WebTools-ng isn't a workable solution (as far as I have been able to test): The built-in csv search and export preset only works for TV, not Movies; doesn't seem to work for large libraries (counts as it goes through media and then just stops part way through); and even when it does work, over half the time results in a csv with ERROR in every field.

I don't mind getting into the weeds of sqllite. I've looked through the library.db befo

Just to note, I don't know much about cars!

Have a Mondeo Mk3/4. It's a Mk.3 but has Mk.4 parts, so post-facelift? It has a Sony oval Mk.4 radio, identical to this and it constantly power-cycles. It starts up, stays up for a few seconds, then cuts out and starts up again.

What I've done:

My first thought was either a bad cap or a short somewhere. The aerial stalk was pretty old and weathered, so I replaced the aerial base and seal with new ones, taking apart the overhead console to do so. It was a bit rusty in there around the bolt holding on the aerial base, but nothing unexpected in a car of this age and no evidence of re

Following a week of outage and wanting to raise an RMA, I called their DSS support line. They said everything was working from their end, but advised I try using a private browser session. This didn't allow me to log into my account, but did allow me access to the chat function. Through there I was able to raise an RMA.
Chat people also said that they were aware of an issue and it would be fixed later today. Not sure how reliable that is, but in the meantime, private window and chat seems workable.

Got an odd one. Just jumped on for the first time in a few months to start the new Expedition, and found a load of Geknip in my inventories. Like a dozen or s stacks of 10 in my suit and ship inventories, and about a dozen stacks of 20 in my freighter. Granted, it's been a while, but where they are in my freighter I know that storage pod was previously full of tech modules. Anyone seen random inventory items replaced with geknip before?

I've got a spare laptop I'd like to effectively turn into a Steam console. Windows 11 has given me some quality of life issues I've worked around, e.g. I can make it autologin and autorun Steam in Big Picture mode, when the laptop goes to sleep I can make it wake back up back into Steam without prompting for a logon, and I can change logged in Steam users from the controller, so basically it's pretty close. Looking at actually waking up from controller button presses today.

Questions are basically:
Am I likely to see any advantage by using Bazzite, from a user-experience perspective? The ability to change Steam users is pretty important.
Am I likely to see much, if any of a performanc

I've got 100hrs+ in Planet Crafter, but I've not played in ages, like 18months. Given all the updates, if you were coming back again after so long would you just carry on, or would you start again?

Looks like this has come up a few times before, but has anyone found a fix for the screen not waking up? Mine is very temperamental, sometimes responding to double-taps, mostly not, sometimes responding to pressing the power button once, sometimes not, so I know it's not a screen issue. I've rebooted, factory reset, removed case, switched on screen sensitivity, all with no joy. I can remove the screen protector but I don't want to as they're pricey, I've used this exact brand on a dozen or so phones and tablets with zero issue, and this also wasn't a problem when I bought the tablet in December, but was after a subsequent update (maybe Feb?).

It's less than a year old, so before I go comp

I remember one scene in particular:
Ninja type guy wearing a large, stereotypical Japanese hat (jingasa?). Black hat, with a large black cloak and mask covering his mouth. Very dark room, traditional Japanese style, all wooden beams and panelling.
He has to prove he's good by getting out of the room but there's a couple of female ninjas\assassins there to stop him doing so. He whirls around, big dramatic cloak ruffling sound and crouches. There's metal claws on wire thrown to climb quickly, lots of quiet noise in the darkness meaning there's things happening, severed fingers rolling across the floor, all done very quietly. He doesn't make it out.

Hopefully a basic thing, I just can't find where to set it: I almost always go straight to my list of Albums which I have added on the Home Screen. But when in there, it seems to be listed by Album Artist (which I want) but in reverse order (which I don't). I can change it to alphabetical order fine, just can't make it stick. Any way of doing that?
