Playing as Holland, vassalised Cleves and declared on East-Frisia to allow Cleves to core its recently conquered province of Cologne (declared on Cleves right after it annexed Cologne). Cleves keeps releasing Cologne despite being at war. Is this intended and what can I do to prevent this from happening?

Any accepted culture that has at least 50% of the development of the country’s state cores can be promoted to the primary culture of the nation. This costs 100 diplomatic power, and replaces the previous ‘Accept Cultural Shift’[1] decision. The previous primary culture will consequently become an accepted culture. The player can not shift to a culture that is accepted due to the cultural union granted by Empire level government.

Is there a way around this restriction? I want to extend my Komnenoi empire run and pick up the it looks all greek to me achievement.

any idea how I can improve my trade income as Trebizond? I'm only making a measly 2.95 ducats a month, currently steering form Astrakhan into Crimea and having an extra merchant collect in Crimea (my home node). The colonial range is not sufficient to transfer from Samarkand into Astrakhan yet. I have taken economic and diplomatic ideas as expansion opportunities seemed limited at start and I was initially planning on playing tall, but I am craving cashflow to start constructing buildings - all proceeds from waging war went into keeping the empire from collapsing to rebels.

I'm currently have two datasets, one for control firms and the other for sample firms. Each firm has a unique identifier. I want to assign a control firm to each sample firm based on three variables, such that the sum of absolute percentage difference of the three variables between the sample firms and their respective control firms is minimised. Ideally the output will be a simple list of the sample firms and their assigned control firms. I tried nnmatch, but cannot figure out how to get the desired output format.

I have an excel file with multiple sheets. Sheet 1 contains observations of a certain sample, sheet 2 contains observations of the whole population. I want to remove all observations in sheet 2 that do not belong to the sample.

Lets say sheet 1 lists a code in column a. Sheet 2 lists a code in column b. How can I remove all rows from sheet 2 of which the code in column b sheet 2 is not similar to a code in column a sheet 1?

EDIT: Found it! (I think...) According to this list, Gaza is part of Africa, despite belonging to the Mashriq region and Palestine area. It's a pity that the province isn't listed in the wiki map for Africa. Guess it's time for some Kebab removal.
