I stumbled upon this new-ish webtoon (launched December end) Day of Disaster after getting a banner ad last week, and binged the first ten episodes that are available for free within an hour - and so much happens. It's like a full season within just the initial set-up! I was really impressed but also definitely in shock.

The writing is really impressive, where we are given all these little details but we don't know how they'll connect just yet. But when they come together, you'll be left in awe. There's a specific twist that comes maybe episode 8? And it literally gave me chills. The way the initial arc ends is jus

note: i’m not actually in the fandom or a big fan so i can’t and won’t speak on mismanagement or mistreatment which IK are major issues plaguing the nct brand rn. i just like listening to most to all major kpop releases, hence this post was birthed aha. and being a non-fan, i’m not covering every nct song this year (i just haven’t listened to some of them) but feel free to talk abt your favorites i didn’t mention in the comments after reading!

now to start my post with basically the same intro lol:

I am in no way an NCTZEN. I couldn’t tell you much about them apart from their title tracks and the names of the members, and of course several songs I enjoy. I simply have a soft spot for 3

Just now, BigHit and Suga of BTS posted on Weverse that Suga was drunk riding his scooter back to his house, and after stumbling, was caught by the police and had his license revoked/was fined. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. He posted a letter explaining the situation and apologizing.

Obviously, drunk driving/riding (no matter the vehicle) is incredibly dangerous. You can't see where you're going properly, and you could hit a passerby or get hurt yourself. As you'd learn in physics, the force from even a smaller object could still hurt someone quite severely. Yet on Twitter, nearly every last ARMY I see is coddling a grown 31-year-old man, trending "WE LOVE YOU YOONGI" (25.5k tweets as of ri

I know kpop content can be very silly and strange at times, but when I came across a video of Keeho from P1Harmony and Daehwi from AB6IX playing a quiz show against little girls (ala Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader), I was puzzled to say the least. I've been getting into P1Harmony lately since they're very talented and fun, and their past two albums have been very very good (quick plug: Killin' It is the name of the album, and the b-sides are so good you guys should go listen), so naturally I was going to watch regardless. But I underestimated just how ...surreal... this video would be.

I won't spoil too much but tell me who's idea it

I just listened to CIX’s latest song Lovers or Enemies and it’s so good, but the prechorus and chorus melodic progression are soooo familiar but I can’t put my finger on what song exactly it reminds me of. It’s the way it goes down, I think into minor chords? when you don’t expect it. Plus that synth flash at the “right!” It’s so familiar… is anyone else able to place it? K-Pop or English, not sure either. Thanks in advance!!

As we all know, concerts are back in full swing and it seems like a new act announces they're touring every day. But these tend to be centered around the same few places - America, East Asia + the Phillippines, maybe a few SEA, European, & South American countries if we're lucky - but that's about it. At least for Australia (heck even the Middle East), acts have visited and toured there - but one place that has been severely underrepresented is South Asia - India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and surrounding countries. And for how many Desi fans there are on Twitter/social media (speaking from personal experience), that's perplexing to me.

I'm taking a strategy class and so that's got me thinking

I've been watching Boys Planet lately, and that has put me in a bit of a boy group phase. As someone who ults BTS & Seventeen and has had a phase with nearly every major boy group imaginable (EXO, Monsta X, TXT, Astro, ATEEZ, Pentagon, NCT Dream...), it's been really fun to rediscover some major bg hits and remember what it was about the music that I liked in the first place.

I've also gotten to know some new groups I didn't know about that the already-debuted trainees are part of. One that most surprised me was a 4th gen bg called nine.i that sent 3 members (Winnie, Jiho, & Seowon) to Boys Planet. I looked into them because I was curious about the pretty reactions boy with the

When we talk about the most successful albums of last year, Face the Sun by Seventeen easily comes out among the top.

It was Seventeen's first album to record preorders of and sell 2million copies, hitting 2,521,486 copies sold on Hanteo chart just last year. If you like Circle Chart better, that number is even crazier - 2,867,353 copies sold. Literally all the songs on the album charted on Melon & Genie, with Domino & Do

Congratulations! As a total sucker for punishment (as evident by you being on Reddit), you have joined the latest variety show craze Boys Planet at the last possible minute (way to go :D). Now you must suffer through MSnake's evil editing, Knetz's nitpicky comments, and the general horrors of competing on a variety show (and that too against an experienced idol of 7 years). Your first mission? The 1-minute time attack.

If you're out of the loop, the 1-minute time attack is a PR stunt on the mnet youtube channel, designed as a way for each of the contestants to ✨ stand out ✨ by doing the most batshit crazy thing possible to show your ✨ charms ✨ as a contesta

So if you haven't heard of them, Fifty Fifty are this brand-new girl group that debuted earlier this month that basically came out of nowhere. Their company Attrakt is brand-new too, so we don't know much about them either. But from what we've heard & seen, the girls are really talented and have great music. It's simple but sounds so clean & well-made. I recommend their music for anyone feeling K-Pop Fatigue or missing older 3rd gen music styles! Higher, Tell Me, & Lovin' Me are all really great, and Log In is good too.

So for the past week, they've been doing their debut music show stages and - shockingly! - they're actually live, like for real. Their [debut stage on The Show](

My favorite song of all time is Tomorrow, Today by JJ Project. I love how comforting it is in lyrics and visuals, and how the lyrics are so relatable so someone growing up little by little. Youth by Kihyun gives me this same feeling too, nostalgic and longing but so comforting in both lyrics and visuals. I like how they both have nature imagery. Plus they're both pop-rock songs, which is a sound I love (think Fearless/Speak Now era Taylor Swift, stuff that was popular in the early 2010s). Dinosaur by AKMU visually & lyrically matches this, but it sounds different - still a wonderful song.

Are there any other kpop (or even otherwise, im cool with that) songs with this kind of concept &a

Vernon from Seventeen is a highly recognizable idol, whether you know him as the handsome guy, the meme guy, the "just vibes" chill guy, a good rapper, and/or one of the biracial idols - I think your average kpop stan would know him. But among these personas people associate him with, one of the least talked about yet most amazing, to me, aspects of him is his mind & speech. I've always found his words to

You’ve heard of fans going to see their fave idols perform in concert… now how about the opposite?

I think most everyone knows what Neverending Aju Nice at seventeen concerts is - they end their performance by playing the chorus of Very Nice on loop again and again and again until you’re dizzy and you have thirty missed calls from your dad who’s been waiting outside to pick you up and when you close your eyes, all you can see is the world bouncing up and down from all the jumping. Since it’s a ritual, they’re doing it at the Be The Sun tour again - but with a twist. This time, they’re getting rand
