Hey all. My daughter has 2A/2B waves and I have type 1 hair. I like Dr Bronner's Sugar Soap as a shampoo (diff from the Castile Soap). How is it for type 2 waves? I don't want to recommend it without checking in with some experts first. Nobody else in the fam/friends circle has the same hair type she does.

Mods, she doesn't have a routine. I'm currently in trying to help her find something that works. She uses a Cantu spray in, but the hunt for a good shampoo continues.

I'm a dorky & paranoid Xennial using Google Docs to write, but also constantly worried that Gemini will hoover up my original work. Is there a safer platform to use? Or a way to keep your work safe on Google? My greatest fear is that this thing I worked so hard on for almost 2 years will end up in someone else's work or being spat out by a bot.

Hey all. My family and I will be in San Juan for the first time at the end of this month. We only eat Halal. Looks like most of the Halal restaurants in San Juan are Middle Eastern. We get that all the time in Chicago and don't want to miss out on more local flavors. What would you recommend for ppl who are restricted to vegetarian or pescatarian at non-Halal restaurants? Or a Dyson or a Miele. If I've got about $400 to spend, what are some options that don't have awful custom service and replacement parts are easy to find for when something inevitably breaks? Trying to avoid anything bagless. Is Kenmore still decent? We had one of those for like 20 years. It got left behind when we moved out of state 😕.

Chicago, NW suburbs. When I first got into native gardening I ordered from Everwilde because they almost always had everything I was looking for and I got really good germination rates. I had a lot of seedlings to thin out. Last year, I ordered from Prairie Moon because it seemed to be the preferred source for my fellow Midwesterners. But I had terrible germination with those. Like single digits percentage wise. So, what gives? What am I missing? Why don't ppl like Everwilde?

They get the news that "the Ministry has fallen" four weeks before school starts, but the Weasleys sent Ginny to Hogwarts anyway? Did they not know that there would be Death Eaters on staff? Or do they only find out after she’s already up there and they can't get her out?

If you write something that is on the cusp between two ratings, do you round down, round up, or leave it unrated and let the tags do the work?

Just that. I read it a few months back and I LOVED it. Draco had his memory wiped and was hidden away. He was in a cottage in a fairly remote, rural area. I am tempted to say it was a different country where he was hidden, some place Mediterranean like Italy or the South of France. Hermione was sent to get him back. It was on the shorter side and the writing was sooooo lovely. I forgot to bookmark it and now I'm kicking myself.

How did you get around it? If you don't want to go the dupes route, are there any websites that sell the authentic stuff in plain bottles? I love I Want Choo, but I can’t get over that round nozzle.

Hey all. I really love love love this fragrance but it's got very limited staying power. At least on me. I prefer to do a single spray after my shower and hope it sees me through at least 4 to 6 hours. Can anyone recommend something that smells similar but lasts longer?

Party scenes, battle scenes, and love triangles. I HATE writing these. For the first two, it's so hard to write without drowning in expository diarrhea. Or, if you follow one person's POV, it feels silly that they somehow manage to witness every key thing that happened in said party/battle. And then there’s writing a believable love triangle that doesn't feel like..."Bob loved Jane until Plot Device came along and mucked everything up." 🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️

Hey all. I'm working on my first fic and I've been sending finished portions to my beta as a shared Google doc. The problem is, that if she puts it down for more than a few hours, the next time she opens it, the doc will be back at page one. I tried changing it from the default/pageless format to paged and that didn't make a difference. Then I tried changing the paged format over to a pdf, and now she can't adjust the zoom on her phone to accommodate the whole page in one screen. There has to be an easy way around this, right?
