How do I keep from hating my ex?

Mental Health/Depression/Loneliness

^(CW: rape, animal death, suicide, cancer. Not an easy one--- sorry. :-/)

My ex-wife despises me. I'm trying desperately not to hate her.

She has made claims of every kind of abuse available---sexual, physical, emotional, mental, financial, nearly all of them false---and uttered them to enough people that they have circled back around to me. I have lost a dozen friendships and even the trust of my own sister. It is severely damaging my reputation needlessly and is making me occasionally suicidal. The claims only arose several months into the divorce process, shortly following a debate over who retained a specific investment account (more below). She went from expressing love and kindness

The day she left was the day I was gone all day for work and an evening group meeting. It was the end of February. I came home to her car missing, one of our cats gone, most of her stuff removed, and a letter on the table. "I'll be going 7 days no-contact. I won't be telling you where I am."

We weren't good for each other. We had opposite attachment styles (anxious for me, avoidant for her). She always had trouble expressing herself emotionally and hated confrontation. I'm neurodivergent and have PTSD from the healthcare field and cancer; it was a lot for her to handle at times, as I tended to get loud and emotionally abusive at my worst. She also has past traumas that would emerge in the f

My wife and I have a somewhat asymmetric but still fully consensual non-monogamous relationship, wherein I'm more hierarchical polyamorous and she's just open marriage (she has no interest in falling in love with anyone else, but I do and she's fine with it).

It's all too common for my type (38M cis-het) to employ one-penis policies and the like in CNM, and I didn't want to add to the statistic. She has always been able to do oral with people with penises. Unfortunately, due to an unfavorable comparison that was made by my wife (30F cis-pan) of me and another of her male partners some time back (which she regretted), it was difficult to me to stomach the notion of her being penetrated by an

My (37M) wife and I have been open for a few months after talking about it for a year. She has a partner with whom she has hooked up a few times, but recently came out as an anti-vaxxer and anti-masker, at least after being knowingly exposed to COVID.

This rubs me the wrong way, as I was put through intense chemo twice in the last year and a half for cancer. People like that like were the reason I couldn't leave the house; getting COVID then would have certainly killed me. I almost died from tainted food; I was hospitalized for weeks. And my wife seems to not understand how this personally hurts me. She seems more hurt by me objecting to the relationship than by this partner's shitty attitu

I gave myself an enema and unblocked myself. The Miralax solution quickly took over. All good. ER averted.

As titled.

  • I have cancer, currently going through chemo, and pain meds stopped me up last week.
  • I'm immunocompromised (possibly neutropenic), so I'm trying to avoid the ER if I can.
  • Been taking Senna every day, Miralax every other day, but my system wasn't having it.
  • Used a fleet enema yesterday and only 5 or so pebbles came out. The saline all came out.
  • Likewise, since I finished the Miralax mix today, only half a dozen pebbles have come out, and with too much force at that.
  • Magnesium citrate was either sold out or recalled at all my local drug stores today, so it's unfortunately not an option.
  • My abdomen has been rocking and rolling (gurgling, cramping, gassy) since I finis

I got sent home with 3 pills of 7.5/325 hydro/apap, which has barely touched the pain. My 2.5" incision (nsfw) looks clean; I just get stabbing pain where my legs meet my scrotum whenever I move like to go to the bathroom. Curious what other people were prescribed for their surgeries.

I spoke to the on-call doc, who cited other patients and studies as to why I didn't need more narcotics, rather than listening to my personal pain level. He also told me not to use NSAIDs and to just use Tylenol. He eventually relented and agreed to put in a script for 6 more pills in the morning, but to use Tylenol overnight. I texted my surgeon afterward, who told me I shou

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I left behind her dSLR camera at tonight's final performance of The Winter's Tale at Shakespeare in Delaware Park, amid the chaos of everyone gathering their things to leave. Specifically, it is a Nikon D5500 with the 18-55mm kit lens and a strap. If you know anyone who might have information about this, or happened to have picked it up, please send me a PM.

A generous reward is being offered for its return.

As proof, here are a few of the images that should be presently on the flash card inside the camera.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

A little over 3 years ago my mother was having difficulty functioning at her job. She would forget to do things, forget appointments, forget where to go, lash out at people occasionally. No one knew what was up. A few months later, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She told me via text.

Now she can only hold a phone to her ear.

For a while she was OK. She could still drive to the store, so long as it was local and familiar, and be fine. She stopped about 2 years ago. Now she doesn't leave the house. If she goes to any public function with us, and we don't keep our eye on her, she'll wander off within minutes.

Most of the time, the only caretaker is my dad. Her family is all distant, man

Throwaway.

Just got diagnosed yesterday. I think it's early yet in the disease, though she's mid-50s. The worst thing we experienced before the diagnosis was she forgot what year my sister and I were born. There were many other little things, like forgetting how to use kitchen appliances, putting stuff down and forgetting it (frequently), and repeating herself. She lost her job and half the family income as a result.

She can still function well. She can drive and get herself around. She still has full access to all her long term memory. She can cook familiar recipes.

What are some things we should know about the disease from those who have dealt with it or just know something about it? An
