Take one pinch of ex-gamer, a dash of language enthusiast, add a measure of hobbyist baker, and finally sprinkle some hiking on it. What we get is this nerd!

Currently looking for a life partner - in whatever form that may take - for the long haul. Ideally you want kids, but it's not a deal breaker. I live in a city in southern Sweden, but I have come to realize that I would prefer something quieter. Surroundings-wise, at least. I realize that bringing kids into the picture will utterly shatter any peace and quiet one might desire for years to come. 😉

I say I like "hiking", but that word is used mainly for brevity. It sounds more ambitious than "I enjoy walks", if we're being honest. But I

I have no idea what's up; I simply can't load DDG at times, though I can resolve the DNS just fine, and every other site works without a hitch.

Like I said though, it's not always a problem -- often the issue will persist for a handful of minutes and then go away. So whatever the issue is, it's intermittent and all the more annoying for it.

I have looked up the resolved IP at times, and it appears to not be tied to one specific IP address either.

Is this on my end, on DDG's end, or somewhere else along the line?

Such a shame that they had to be included. I unfortunately had to uninstall since it's not physically possible for me to deal with them.

On a whim I wanted to find out what 52 factorial was, so I entered 52! in the search box... and was sent off to some food site. What in the hell?

I'd be fine with !52 as a bang. I mean, in all my life I've only ever encountered bangs in that format (!term). Coming across it in reverse, especially like this, is incredibly annoying.

51! and 53! works just fine, at least.

Hopefully this isn't too basic a question for you guys, but I'll preface this with the fact that I know next to nothing of the subject!

I bought LEDs + resistors from Ebay many years ago, and rediscovered said components the other day during a move. The resistors are marked brown, black, black, violet, gold... and through some quick research I have found this to mean 1 giga-Ohm, with a 5% tolerance.

Now... using ledcalculator.net to check up on what kind of resistors I'd need, and even plugging in the 12v of a standard computer PSU (a computer would have been the intended application at the time of purchase), 1.8v LED voltage drop, 20mA current and 1 LED, I only get a diagram with a 560 Oh
