A few weeks ago I came up with an initial proof of concept of a Raspberry Pi 3 with palera1in that would automatically jailbreak my 6s on 15.7.2 without the need for a keyboard or display. Here's the original post:

I've since refined it a bit and have created an image you can load onto your Pi. It's about 4GB in size and has some breathing room left in the filesystem, but you could certainly extend the filesystem to fill a larger SD card if you like.

I recently acquired a Pi3 and set about trying to make a headless JB device out of it, and succeeded!

I'm running from memory at the moment but these should be the highlights:

Installed Pi OS (ubuntu server) on it.

Installed "expect" for automation.

Updated the startup script for usbmuxd to launch it with nohup, -f, and in the background so it stays running.

Dropped the palera1n-c binary in /usr/bin.

Gotta run palera1n the first time interactively with the -c option of course.

Ran palera1n with autoexpect to create the automation, then edited the output down to 2 or 3 items, basically launching palera1n, watching for the DFU mode prompt, responding with an "enter" key, and then watchi

I recently jumped from 14.8 to 15.7.2 with palera1n and since I’ve reinstalled AppStore++ it no longer blocks updates. The apps are in the list of blocked updates, but they still appear in my usual list of apps that need updating.

Anyone else seeing this, or know of a fix? I can’t “update all” with this situation.

Thanks!
