I'm looking for the name of a book where the main character is bullied by a girl, has a bad outlook on life, calls the girl arm buster. He signs up for a time travel experiment using portals that the girl is also on. He goes back in time to change the past without the people's knowledge. In the new timeline she's his girlfriend and when they open a portal for the original's return trip, the guy gains the original memories in addition to his own.

Does God Lie?

Discussion

Consider all the instruments of war and all the damage they cause. With all that to deal with, is it completely unreasonable for God to both use lying as a tool and be the best person there is?

The prominence mainstream Christians give the Bible never made sense to me because it flies in the face of everything else God does to make himself familiar to those he wants to make himself known to. I'm having difficulty fleshing out my thoughts, but mainstream Christian attitudes frustrate me because their image of God makes him less familiar and more foreign than any other person and they're blind to what they are doing.

Book contained cross machine BASIC programming language commands so you could look up one machine's BASIC command and it would list what command every other machine that it knew about's BASIC command or commands to do the same thing.

A short story can't remember if it was published in Fantasy & Science Fiction, Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction, Omni, or Analog where a man's wife signs up for an afterlife package that resurrects her and gives her a large quantity of gold. She dies of cancer and is resurrected.

In 8th Grade Industrial Arts they occasionally had us play a PC game that was distributed as BASIC source where a block would be either rotated, drilled a hole in, or painted with a red stripe and had to match a reference block. Has anyone come across this game?

I am trying to refind a romantic song from 2000 called Aoi Fukumori. It was in an Anime Radio Valentine's Day Real Audio stream.

Trying to remember a song that was on an eerie Real Audio Valentine's day Radio stream. Thought it started out named Aoi Fuk... Fukumori... Not getting results on Google... Need to try Bing.

Online people throw around the term Fascism a lot, but all I can get out of them about it being bad is Hitler was a Fascist therefore Fascism is bad, or maybe even Mussolini was also a Fascist, but the fact that he made the trains run on time shouldn't excuse it.

A being on this planet thinks that a human would explode if not disciplined. This was an ambassador's wife, and so was a major faux pas. The being was told not to eat very much and rose in prominence within its society. The humans eventually discovered that the appropriate punishment was to give the creature permission to eat as much as it wanted. The race then said it would subject itself to human rule, but this was before diets were a thing in the real world so the decision was that the beings were unfit to be consumers of goods the humans sold.

The book has Merlin in a school having forgotten his former self. He had been rescued from a cave where he had been trapped by Morgana LeFay. He had cast a spell to make him age backwards. In the school he says he tried to cast a spell to grow a beard, but it was purple.
