I just want to know if there is any way of doing this, as I don't want to support Steam anymore but do want to keep the games I bought. Anyone knows?

I've dabbled with Ableton a bit, and took a glance at Reason, but I'd appreciate your personal opinions and experiences before deciding on one considering the time investment it means to learn a new DAW.

I'm actually curious about LMMS, not least considering the price tag. :)

So, I used to be pretty good with FruityLoops, but haven't used it in a while, and thought I'd give it a shot with FL Studio.

I get so frustrated, I don't recognize anything, everything seems to work against what I'm trying to do, and I can't find any reasonable youtube tutorials on the most basic stuff- like how do I simply repeat a pattern, why doesn't my selection snap to the beat, why do my patterns sometimes stop one short of a complete bar, how do I set patterns to use 1/2 note by default, and gosh darn it why doesn't anything work the way you expect it to?

Sorry for whining, but it feels so hopeless constantly googling the most basic stuff that I used to be able to do almost instant

It's been good. I feel much better, and the amount of things I get done daily is simply beyond comparison.

I'm in the process of starting my own company, which is a great motivator to stay on track, because drinking makes any and all planning and execution impossible.

Thanks for being here guys, it really means something that there is a place like this to come and vent, share stories and support.
