My nearest Lidl is the one on Rua Maria da Fonte, which carries almost none of the stuff advertised in the Novidades part of the weekly ad. The second nearest is the one in Penha da Franca, but either the store doesn't stock much of that stuff, or their customers buy it up quickly. For instance, I don't remember ever seeing either the small cooking appliances nor the tools used for building small items of furniture. Which Lidls in Lisbon carry a lot of the novidades in their Aisle of Shame?

Or is it just the usual 14 year old trolls in the general subs thinking they're smarter than everyone else?
The local buses (##B) all have their numbers on a yellow background.
The lifts and trams (##E) all have their numbers on an orange background, except 15E and 18E, which are on pink backgrounds.
The night buses (2##) all have their numbers on a dark blue background.
But the 7## buses use grey, orange, red, pink, light blue and green backgrounds with no obvious pattern I can see.
Is there a meaning or history to the colors assigned to the different 7## lines?
This sub gets a lot of questions from people who have booked cheap rooms near Almirante Reis, wanting to know how safe or unsafe their area is, especially around Martim Moniz, Intendente and Anjos.
These posts always get a lot of response, BUT
-
There are always posters who say the area is unsafe, but don't list details of how they know that, where (ie. which streets) to avoid and when
-
There are other posters who actually live in the area who say that, to the contrary, the area is safe
-
It's the same information and lack of details over and over again, and seems to contain a lot of unsubstantiated hearsay
In the interest of providing something of specific use to the question asker
There are local area maps in each metro station, showing where the various exits from the station come up at street level. Are these maps available online in some centralized location?
Also, for places like Praca Dom Pedro IV (Rossio), where numerous buses stop at numerous locations around the plaza, there used to be spider maps showing where around the plaza each bus stopped. Do these maps still exist, and are they available online in some centralized location?
TIL Costco's Kirkland Signature solid white albacore tuna in water is considered a skip, as are most of the common US household brands
foodrepublic.com/1573269/top-15-tuna-brands-k...I have that wiry thick Asian hair that sticks straight out when cut short. I like my sides cut short, and the top to have some length without as much density. Where can I get my hair cut where the cutters know how to handle this and they won't expect my hair to behave like finer hair?
It's repeatedly mentioned that the government sits on (ie. owns and does nothing with) a lot of real estate in Lisbon that could be rehabilitated for housing. What are some large examples of this?
Actually, I ate 3 Lidl pasteis de nata over 3 days.
People keep saying they're terrible, yet Lidl sells enough of them that they keep making them. So I spent 1€ to find out for myself what was going on.
I reheated them in the air fryer (5 minutes, maximum temperature) to give them a chance not to be terrible. The shell, although not buttery, was very light and crispy. Even though the flavor was lacking, it was the best texture for a pastel de nata shell I've ever had.
The filling, though, was amazingly weak. There was no hint of cream at all, maybe milk. There was a little egginess, but not much. Did they use way more egg whites than yolks, or did they just use gelatin to help solidify th
Just finished TAR15 on my reverse chronological binge.

Why did Maria & Tiffany quit the race, instead of just taking a penalty? That was almost guaranteed to be a NEL, and the equalizer the next morning would probably have put them right back in with the other teams.

Why did Big Easy not just try every possible permutation? Dan told him the first letter was F, so there were only 4 other letters to place, for a total of 24 permutations. If he'd taken 10 minutes between each submission, and only gotten the 24th submission correct, it would have taken him 240 minutes, ie. the 4 hour penalty. But statistically, he was likely to have hit the right permutation way before then.

At roughly 10:23 of this CIA video about fabricating a raw chicken, the instructor talks about cleaning his plastic cutting board. He mentions that he periodically uses a powdered cleanser.
I've always avoided doing that because it seems like it would leave a residue that would be picked up by the next raw meat cut up on the board. Instead, I use some combination of dish soap, lemon, vinegar and baking soda.
How do you typically deep clean your plastic cutting boards? Do you ever use powdered cleanser, and can you taste it on your food later?
Boomers have the highest rate of voting, and they vote for their own interests. They don't vote for Gen Z's interests, nor millennials' interests, nor Gen X's interests. However, Gen Z will be living with the consequences of ALL elections much longer than boomers will. Why is Gen Z so willing to hand over control of their lives for the next half century to boomers, instead of expressing themselves with their own votes? Boomers don't fall for "your vote doesn't count", so why does Gen Z?
Still working backwards through the series. Recently finished TAR17.
What exactly were the production errors in the Russian Music/Film tasks that resulted in Nick and Vicki not receiving a speed bump for coming in last on a NEL? Everything I've read just says "production errors" without stating what those errors actually were.
Was 2010 a low point in dating? There were not 1, not 2, but all 3 dating couples in which one partner (Nick, Chad, Thomas) was demeaning the other partner (Vicki, Stephanie, Jill). Although Thomas did mellow out a bit towards the end.
