Sorry if this is common knowledge, I don't subscribe to this subreddit but I probably should. Your AWS Account Manager has a fix. You have to go through your rep and meet this criteria - support will tell you otherwise.

  • The AWS account is in active status and the retail account is in normal status
  • The account does not have any bank account as payment instrument
  • The account is not be registered as an AWS Marketplace seller.
  • Customer did not use the account for making any purchases in AWS Marketplace
  • The account is not registered as an EC2 Reserved instance Marketplace Seller.
  • The account does not have any MFA device configured on the AWS account.

Hopefully this is useful to peop

To be clear, this isn't a "what MDM should I use" post - it's a post for all the people hunting right now why to stay away from Fleetsmith.

I setup a Fleetsmith instance in July, completely unaware of how much had been gutted already from the service (it's first-party, so any new machine changes will hit their desks first, right?). The barebones work - FileVault, local Firewall, custom packages...it does the job. But if you're looking to actually manage updates, you might as well turn around now, because they have zero intention of ever supporting Apple Silicon devices - their machine update process has always followed terminal commands, which isn't supported by M1 macs. Even with Intel mac

Hey y'all, I don't follow this subreddit and have no idea if it's been posted (and also there could be a better solution than this), but if you're having issues unlocking with a thumbprint, I had all my problems end after enrolling my thumbs multiple times. Just did each twice and I had maybe a 95% unlock rate for the day. Figured I'd share.

So yeah...got a new job, 100% Mac users and G suite, sole IT person. Already rolling out an MDM (FleetSmith) and AV, getting the biz setup in ABM, what other things should I look out for? Employee base is remote, so not worrying about anything on site now, but I probably should have brushed up on the latest and greatest in Mac Management before jumping to this role.
