Hey all,

Reached out to Dead River about price lock / EasyCAP and they quoted me a price lock of $2.899/gal until 2029. Current market price through them is $3.749/gal, so it's easy math right now; plus, given all of the global instability I can easily see it topping $4/gal for the next year. But signing up for 2.5-3 years has given me pause.

We use about 750 gallons a year, which I'm hoping to reduce in that time frame, but wondering what others are seeing currently--are you locked in? Are you paying more/less? Are you on a payment plan? Do you have plans to get off heating fuel altogether?

Thanks in advance!

Good evening, ladies and djents, I come to you in search of expert opinions.

I have been using FLStudio for more than 20 years, and although I'm familiar with it and moderately facile (advanced intermediate, let's say), I feel like either I'm using it poorly for recording, mixing, and mastering my tracks or it's finally starting to show me its limitations. I'm trying to put together an album in the next year or two, and I feel like I'm banging my head against the software more than struggling with my own writing process, and it's gotten very frustrating.

I briefly used Albeton and found it tough to come to grips with, but that was more than a decade ago at this point. FWIW budget is not as

Hello r/anesthesiology,

I come in search of a future partner for my small doc-only group in Maine. I am happy to share as many details as I know, but here is the bottom line up front in case you're interested:

Employed, solo rooms, 1 weekend and 4ish home calls per month, 13 weeks off, $515k W2 + benefits (very likely to rise when we renegotiate in a year)

3 ORs, cysto suite, 2 endo rooms

Bread and butter gen surg, OBGYN, urology, podiatry, ortho. No hearts, heads, or trauma, occasional healthy peds.

My group has been remarkably stable (two docs have literally been here their entire 20+ year careers), but we have a part-timer retiring who we would like to replace with a full-timer. I

I know I'm living under a rock, it's been 11 years, shut up.

Diagnose this condition based on the following lyrics:

If you could take my pulse right now

It would feel just like a sledgehammer

If you could feel my heart beat now

It would hit you like a sledgehammer

Spoilers below, although if you're a parent and you haven't seen Wish... are you even trying?

At the end of Wish, Magnifico is imprisoned in his staff and all the wishes he had hoarded are dispersed over the crowd. The wishes explode off of his tower and shower down over the crowd like so many phosphorus flares.

All I could think was, what if Wish was a completely normal Disney movie up to that point, but then as the people of Rosas touched their freed wishes they burst violently into flames, and the last shot was a devastated Asha staring down from the tower at the ashen remains of her whole village. And then it's just her with a surly imprisoned sorcere who keeps demanding that she "poi

Small rural hospital, doc-only shop with only a handful of docs. Got a call in the middle of the night from the hospital CMO that they couldn't get in touch with the on-call doc for an urgent/emergent case. I sleep with my phone on silent when I'm not on call so I didn't see until this morning, but it raised an interesting question about how to approach that kind of arrangement.

First and foremost, let me say that there is no expectation that we are available for back-up call currently, so at present this question is entirely hypothetical. Okay, onto my thoughts (and eager to hear yours!):

Option 1: stand on principle that we will not be available after regular working hours when not on c

Title, but in greater detail: I record guitar and bass into FLStudio via FocusRite 2i2 into Neural DSP and program drums using Kontakt/GGD. My ideal workflow would be to track on my desktop with the above set up and then program the drums and edit/master the tracks on my laptop. Does anyone have a good go-by for this? Thanks so much in advance!
