Hi guys,

I don’t know if it’s worth paying an extra $85/per microinverter to extend its 10 year warranty to 25 years. My solar set up would have 4 of the APSystems QS1A microinverters and this would then cost me $340 to extend their warranty.

Is this worth it or is it a waste of money?

Thanks 🙏

Hi guys,

I am looking to get a 1997 built house 1600ish sq ft in Edmonton, Canada for a HRV which currently has a fresh air vent intake and all bathrooms have their own separate ceiling fan.

I had two quotes from companies and have similar prices (difference of $100) but are offering completely different products to me, especially in sizing. I have no idea if HRV sizing has any benefits or cons?

  1. Company One: Lifebreath RNC 205 specs sheet RC 205 They said they’ll use the existing ducts which aren’t 1 meter apart (intake and outtake vents) but quoter said it’s just a like a foot(?) from a meter aw

Hello guys,

I’m needing some input about my situation. I am very tempted to get an EV because of the rising gas costs and it makes sense for me since I’m getting solar panels installed this year. I never really understood the trade in especially for a car that I’m still making payments for.

Scenario: I currently pay and financed for a $60,000 car and I’ve paid off maybe 40-50% of it so far.

Brand new EV is also worth around $60,000 and dealership offered to buy my existing car for ~$35,000 for an otherwise brand new, low km car I have.

I’m confused about the other debt I’m still suppose to pay for my existing car. What happens here and could someone crunch numbers to see how much money

I have two options for upgrading my gas water tank to these Bradford White:

  • 50 gallon RG250S6N and it is not power vented (non-energy star) for $1449
  • 40 gallon RG1PV40S6N (energy star) and power vented for $2957.

Obviously the difference is ~$1500 and 10 gallons which 40 is more than enough for my household anyways. I don’t really understand the efficiency ratings of water tanks and how that entails to significant or minor cost savings.

I also researched how gas pilot light could potentially cost me $200-300/year? I don’t know if that’s true or not either. The 50 gallon model uses a pilot light whereas the energy star rating one spark ignition instead.

I don’t know if it’s even w

Guys I don’t know why but ever since my best friend got a Tesla, I’ve been very tempted to also get a Tesla myself, especially considering I’m getting solar panels installed this year.

I love my 2018 A4 S-line. It is gorgeous inside and out. But the mounting gas prices and the crazy tech on the Tesla kinda makes me jealous in some ways.

Since I’m getting solar installed, they also need to factor any future plans to ensure system is of capacity to my needs (ie. AC and EV) but they also require me to actually have an order in place for it.

Any fellow audions willing to put me back to my senses or maybe not ? 🤔

(Audi does EV but they’re priced similarly for less tech too)

Is there any companies out there that does perhaps injection foam into existing walls to upgrade the existing insulation? Or any wall insulation upgrades?

Any google search I try are just attic insulation for the most part.

I'm getting my 20 year old water tank replaced finally lol. I was initially offered 1499 for 50 gallon vs 1447 for a 40 gallon. But since I was going to do AC, he just gave me the 50 gallon for the price of 40.

  • Bradford White RG240S6N or Bradford White RG250S6N.

I currently have a family of 4 but this may actually go down to 2-3 in a couple of years. I know 40 gallon seems to be sufficient for me since my existing 40 gallon has been sufficient. Also since the price is the same, I'm now only concerned about the potential cost of needing an extra 10 gallons.Quoter did mention they install more 50's so they have it in stock whereas they'll have to order the 40.

The water tank is not energ

Hey so I am having a hard time choosing between these two. I've never used a dashcam before but I'm currently 50/50 about needing parking mode.

With the Vantrue T2 it has an OBD wire which allows it to perform the 24/7 parking mode with the voltage cutoff protection. Effectively making this plug and play solution.

The Viofo requires hardwiring to do parking mode (which im not even comfortable doing myself).

I do believe the picture quality would be better on the Viofo but im still unsure between these two.

Please help me choose :(
