bbc.comLet me preface this by saying I've got about 400km on the board, not enough to be an expert but enough to be familiar with it.
I understand the physics of the board, I understand what causes nosedives. I don't think this scenario falls into the general advice for avoiding a nosedive. I am generally a very conservative rider but I have gone to speeds to make myself familiar with pushback and what it feels like, it's very noticeable and I find it has been helpful the couple of times I was going a little faster than I thought.
My stance I think, is pretty good. I ride with my front foot tucked close to my fender, and my back foot I keep near to the end of the tail (Kush Nug High). I also rid
I got my Pint on Wednesday but the weather where I live was awful so I didn’t get out floating until Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
It took me about 20 minutes to get a handle on riding and over the weekend I put about 8k on the Pint. As I progressed, I couldn’t help but feel like I was far more wobbly on my heel and toe edges than I was expecting. I chalked it up to inexperience and pressed on.
I took the Pint over to my parents place and my Dad was interested in how the OneWheel worked so I gave him a little demo. Immediately he pointed out how rounded my tire looked. I assured him that the roundness was intentional but he suggested we check the tire pressure.
Sure enough: 25 PSI. A
I’m just learning to ride my Pint now and I am a little freaked out about injuring myself (I know, very unique). I’ll start by saying I’ve soaked up as much online information and safety tips as I feel I can from both videos and posts around the internet.
From everything I read including this subreddit, you’d get the idea almost everyone has broken a bone at some point riding their Onewheel. I am wondering how much of that perception is true though.
So if you’ve never broken a bone riding your Onewheel, let me know and also say how many miles you’ve got if possible!
EDIT: Thanks for the replies everyone! I totally agree with all the comments regarding gear. I have a helmet, wrist guards,
Hey r/guitarpedals brain trust! I am looking for some help picking out which Delay pedal I should pick up for my board.
I currently have an older Boss DD3 on my board and while it is good at what it does, I’m finding it just a little too limiting these days so I’d like to upgrade it.
I’ve got a pretty good idea of what I want my next delay to be able to do:
ability to toggle between multiple delay types, reverse being key. Tape delay emulation is a big plus too.
tap tempo is a must have
Loop functionality is a big plus
Nothing with a digital display. I used to use multi-effects processors for a long time but never got accustomed to having to scroll through menus. Just doesn’t
Hi Reddit, I’m looking for some advice on the most sensible way to handle an unfortunate financial predicament I find myself in. There are quite a few factors to this issue so bear with me while I lay them all out.
About 3 1/2 years ago I purchased a 2 bedroom Condo for 217k all in, on my own. My down payment was 10%, and since then I have been dutifully paying the mortgage plus a little extra each month in an attempt to shorten the mortgage (25 year amortization). The real estate market in my city has been in a pretty bad slump/decline essentially since I purchased my condo. Because of this, the value current of the condo (170k-180k) is approximately equal to what is left on the mortgage (
