Got a quick question for anyone who might be in the know. I was taking apart my EV ZLX-15BT. Speakers are probably about 5 years old at this point for reference. Took the back panel off with the controller board, PSU etc and a big rectangular slab of foam (kind you'd find in some couch cushions, that shredded/formed material) came out.
Obviously I could just shove it back in and call it a day but I'm wondering what it's for? Does it need to seat between any specific components or is it just for dampening vibration from sound waves?
So besides the controversy of them potentially stealing/borrowing/co-opting that other teams slogan. . . Isn't it just a stupid slogan?
Like yeah it's short and catchy, I can imagine an arena of fans chanting "tusks up" but what the hell does that even mean. If you're a mammoth and you raise your tusks isn't that just going to get you a spear in the throat? Shouldn't it be tusks down or give em the tusk or keep your tusks on the ice or. . . Like anything else?
I don't get it.
And if so what was the process? Finally got the noti that they want to install the wonderful AI update on my Open and I'm thinking this is the straw that breaks the camels back and gets me to degoogle.
Hey all. Wondering if anyone has insight on this.
Fresh install of ARKOS fully updated fyi
I usually play games at night in bed with the brightness way down. Only problem is when I charge the unit while playing, holy crap the green LED is bright while charging. So much it's distracting and unpleasant. Any way to dim that LED besides a physical mod like etching/frosting the plastic or drilling a hole and filling with dark epoxy?
What's annoying is that there's a setting in ARKOS to dim the red LED. . . While it's in sleep mode. So not exactly what I'm looking for lol.
Thanks in advance!
Hey all. Went in to my local 'yota dealership and took the Camry out for a spin. Pretty impressed with everything I've seen.
Wondering though on a couple things. The majority of my driving isn't really city. I live rural so I doubt I'll be getting the 51 mpg stated. For people who's average trip is ~20 miles with little braking what's the actual mileage you're getting?
Secondly I told them I wanted the absolute no frills build. No mats, no ceramic coating no bs. He found one getting built in Japan that had nothing but the LED trunk light and quoted 30800 iirc. I asked if this was the traditional car buying thing where there's wiggle room and he goes nope since it's getting shipped that's
Hey all. Wondering if anyone has used OPs trade in program and has the same issues. Long story short I feel scammed and I think this will be my last OP phone due to piss poor customer service.
So at the start of the month I dropped my OnePlus 11 and it broke the screen and back glass but the phone still worked fine.
I got to looking for new phones, since it was going to cost about $250 to fix. I saw that they had a deal on the open where you get an extra $300 if you trade in OnePlus phone so I was like all right well that's about what I would be spending to repair it anyways so I'll go ahead and trade it in.
I did the math and compared to what it was brand new on Best buy and eBay and
Yeah, I am a bee, and you know I’m not supposed to be doing this, but they were all trying to kill me and if it wasn’t for you...I mean, I had to thank you. It’s just the way I was raised.
Preface: After typing this out I re-read it and I know a lot of people on this board are in India or otherwise. I'm in the US so YMMV.
So I guess this is a bit of a loaded question. I remember when I was shopping around for phones in 2018 I was inundated with options for off-the-radar smartphones with good specs, reasonably priced and maybe even a few "cool" features you wouldn't expect from a midrange phone such as high end processor, big battery or high refresh rate screen. Oneplus was popping back then, there were actual decent spec phones for a decent price from a lot of the main brands. The "midrange" phone was at it's peak.
Nowadays it seems like "does it hav gud camrea?" is all peop
Hey all.
Anyone know of similar games to this, specifically where you have the "main game" for everyone to watch on the screen and use your cell phone as a controller? The only other one I've found is Use Your Words.
I've been hosting semi-public get-togethers and the Jackbox stuff has been a big hit. I'd like to see if anyone knew of other similar cool games like this. Already own the current stuff that's out from Jackbox, looking forward to the 9th pack too!
Thanks!

Let me start by saying, if this turns into a story, bear with me. I'll try to add a TLDR to it because normally my brain gets away from me and I just flood the chat. That said, if you want to know about my journey so far here it is.
Backstory:
Went through a breakup (unrelated to weight/body image) over the holiday period. Went through a bit of a mental shift after that regarding building myself up.
Started on Noom early January (Around the 10th I believe) and they suggested a 1560 calorie budget. I thought it was going to starve me out but as I did it I realized it was very manageable. Didn't really care fo
Honestly I was excited until I got a few episodes in. 2 hours is a massive commitment for me and my kids between work, chores and bedtime. It's pretty tough to get a good chunk of time to watch 2 straight hours of TV with them.
I know my situation isn't universal, but wanted to see how everyone else felt about the 2 hour timeslot? Love it? Hate it? Never noticed it?
I have no idea what "Pendejo" means.
EDIT: So ended up with a couple questions other than the one in the title. Thanks for your input!
Hey all. Never really considered an Oculus until I saw how well the Quest 2 is reviewing. I have some questions for those in the know.
Regarding the Quest 2, I'm looking at it as a birthday present for my son (preteen):
1- Do you need to buy the link kit to attach it to a computer and use as a normal VR headset?
2- How quickly does the 64 gb fill up?
3- How intrusive is the Facebook account? I assume you buy all your games through their walled garden. Is there a way to install "non-approved" apps?
Thanks for reading, your answers will help me decide if this is the right choice for my kid
