Case B: Cable modem/router ------------ switch ---------------[Wifi/DHCP/router]

When I setup the network like on case B the PC which is connected to the switch with a cable cant connect to the network. But in case A it works fine. Is this because Im using a dumb switch? I'd like to use the option B since its less cables around for me, but I dont know if it is possible. In Case B the router is able to connect to the cable modem and provide internet through wifi but the other clients c
I cant remember in which episode this happened. I think Frasier was in his car with a girl and he was talking about love/relationship something, what makes people attracted to each other, something like that. I think it was from the early seasons.
Thanks
Im looking to upgrage my current cpu which is a 2500k 4.7Ghz and cant decide what to buy. I have narrowed it down to these two configs:
- z690 tomahawk + 12600kf
- b560m-plus wifi Asus tuf + 11400f
both with 32gb ddr4 3200
For GPU I will use my current one 1060 6GB
The difference in price is $260, for now, I don't think it will make a difference in gaming but the next upgrade will probably be a GPU so I don't know if the CPU will become a bottleneck.
My x250 i5 heats up while watching videos, right now I dont have the exact temperature but its hot and loud. If watching youtube videos I need to keep it to 480p to get the temp and noise down. I dont know if I did something wrong when changing the thermal paste last time or is just the old hardware. Would upgrading to something like x270 fix those issues? Or I was thinking upgrading to an ipad :D since I mostly use it for watching videos/tutorials, web browsing and some light coding.
I was looking for a bike lately, mostly hardtails since thats what the internet says about beginners like me, but I found rarely used fs (according to seller). I have tried the bike and its seemed okay, but I havent ridden in a long time so I really dont know if its worth it for a price of 900 euros ($1060), is it worth for that price or should look for something else for a begginer like me.
Seems to be this model
Here are images of the bike:https://imgur.com/a/VNWKDtu
So finally Im looking to upgrade from the 2500k.
Im using the PC for gaming, programming and some 3d rendering like testing stuff, no heavy overnight rendering.
I have 1060 6G and I don't plan to change it in the next 2 years, I play on 1080p 60
I was looking into the 3600x($240 without fan) or the newer 5600x ($427). The price difference is almost double while looking at benchmarks its not that huge.
My concern is if the 5600x is better for the future where I might upgrade the GPU.
I have not looked that much into Intel but I could take a look if there is something better there.
I want to learn this software, but I don't have any idea where I might use it.
I used to be 3d artist, doing modeling, texturing, and rendering but now I work as a technical artist doing scripts and plugins for a pipeline.
I think that it's a nice skill to have but right now there is no need for it at my current job.
At the studio where I work we mostly do arch viz renders.
Hi, Im beginner, in Linux, I switched from windows some time ago and I rediscovered my passion for computers :)
Anyway I was following some tutorial on web development and I stumbled upon this block of commands and I dont know what the set -a and set +a does. Can somebody explain it to me, thanks.
elspeth@server:$ unset DJANGO_SECRET_KEY DJANGO_DEBUG_FALSE SITENAME
elspeth@server:$ echo $DJANGO_DEBUG_FALSE-none -none
elspeth@server:$ set -a; source .env; set +a

So I bought a used x250 a few months ago, and today I've noticed that the keyboard backlight started filckering, changing the level of voltage I guess., or it seems like some cable is loose.Anyone else had this problem?
Hi,
I've read somewhere that to write good code you first must know how good code looks.
So can anyone recommend some quality code source files?
