I am running a tempest cleric/Paladin who I want to build as a tanky front line warrior. I’ve always really liked the flavor of heavy armor master but I know in most 5E campaigns it’s not very good because most enemy damage becomes magical after the early levels. Is that the case for BG3’s campaign? I have 17 strength so it would also bump up my attack.

I'm going to be doing a co-op playthrough with someone who wants to play a Barbarian, so we wanted to do something a little different with Karlach. It would be cool to still keep her Barbarian flavor, but primarily make her a Monk since there isn't another one in the party. I'm thinking she'll be an Open Fist Monk built around Tavern Brawler and STR, but I'm wondering how to mix that with Barbarian. Any benefits that synergize well? What is a good level split for these two?

Wondering if anyone else here is buying this on multiple systems. I want to play co-op with my family in the living room, so I’ll be getting one copy on my ps5. But I also want to some playthroughs with mods, so I’ll be getting this on my Mac when that version comes out. I envy all of you who get to play this on the 3rd when it comes to PC!

Kind of a weird request. I’m looking for a place to study, but I tend to focus better when there’s a lot of background noise. Anyone know of a nice cafe or coffee shop that’s loud? I live in SE Portland.

I was just having a discussion with a few coworkers about this and am genuinely interested in the economics behind it. If I’m getting my facts wrong, feel free to correct me.

In the last few years, several new apartment buildings have popped up with $1400 studios and multi bedroom apartments that are thousands of dollars. Most people I know either can’t afford that much in rent OR they can and own a house. Who is the market for these apartments? I’ve heard a lot of them are low occupancy, so I don’t understand how this is affordable for the property owners.

Over the past couple months, there have been a lot of calls to buff Tradition. The consensus is it's the weakest of the openers, especially when defending against aggressive early-game Liberty or Honor civs. Instead of buffing Tradition further (it's already stronger than vanilla Tradition), perhaps its Hellblazer's map that needs changing. Right now you can settle almost anywhere and have access to fresh water, lots of production, and one or more luxuries. Besides making all your cities feel a bit "same-y," the map rewards you for having as many cities as possible.

One of the main goals of this mod was to make tall and wide play viable. The v.9 social policies actually accomplish this o
