Am I remembering wrong or are some of the mob spawns way more vicious in 1.0 than they were in the beta? In the Titan Forest for example, which is listed as "moderate" hostility in the Wiki I'm constantly running into packs of like 2 Nuclear Hogs, 3 Alpha hogs, and a smattering of adult hogs. Or 2 poison spiders and some regular spiders. Or a couple of nuclear hogs and a couple of the new boss hatchers. If this is moderate I'm afraid to see what Swamp or Red Jungle have in store.
Does anybody else find it strange just how conservative our county paper is? Fairfax is a solid of a liberal stronghold as you will find outside of DC and yet the paper runs breathless front page articles about how LGBT crisis support organizations are “trafficking children”. WTF.
The worst part is that this organization seems pretty awesome. Clearly it is mostly ad hoc and run by college students but it provides immediate direct assistance to kids who are thrown out of their home because their scho
My engagement has gone to zero recently for no apparent reason.
My FIOS link was just upgraded to IPv6 (yay!) but it has started flapping every 5 minutes. I'm guessing there is some other bit of configuration I need to do to avoid this, but I have no idea what it could be.
I very much doubt it is a hardware issue, the flapping happens far too regularly:

I bought a direct drive replacement kit and one of the steps is to remove the old bowden tube and replace it with a much shorter one. No problem except that the old bowden tube seems to be welded to the hot end. I can't get it to budge. Is there a trick to removing it? I've even unscrewed the retaining bolt and slid it back but the tube itself is firmly attached. Should I be doing this while the head is hot? That seems very dicey to me.
What is the best program to use if you want to take a big STL file and slice it in two? Bonus points if it can automatically add in tabs and slots so you can click the two halves together.
I know I'm not the first person who wanted to print something too large for his printer by cutting it up and printing in parts. This has to be a solved problem.
Thus far the only thing I've found is the 3D editor that comes with Windows, but it doesn't do the slot/tab thing and I've struggled to get it working properly on my Linux machine.
Having lived in the area for over 20 years now I'm no stranger to blustery days, but this year seems well above average for wind warnings. Is this me paying attention for the first time or is it actually windier than normal out there?
The new mission Warriors of the Empire feels like two episodes glued together to me. Not only does it have a great place for a clean break right in the middle (when you go to the Mushroom Kingdom), but in its current form it is just plain too long.
I think it is only one episode because they didn't have a third piece of story gear available for the mission reward. Or maybe they just couldn't have a story mission that was 100% space stuff (minus a short chatting bit on a bridge)?
All I know is that I'm probably not going to replay that mission much because it's such a drawn out slog. Only good thing is that unlike the last long mission it wasn't all ground and bug out at the end to be
I recently installed a SolarEdge based system with the SolarEdge consumption meter. With the mild weather we have had recently we have not had the HVAC turned on nor are we running many appliances or anything else. Despite this the consumption meter is showing us burning through many kWh during the day.
I have a theory and I want to know if it makes sense. I think the consumption meter is measuring the current flowing out to the grid and subtracting that from what the inverter is currently reporting. However, if the local power grid is oversaturated and power can't be fed back it shows up as self consumption instead. I'm assuming the "production" shown on the inverter is calculated b
It seems that due to the legal issues with the BSA our sponsoring organization has decided not to renew our charter. They don't want to be associated with an organization with the BSA's reputation.
We are planning to rush our Webelo IIs to completion before the charter runs out, but COVID is complicating all of the pack activities this year. It's a bummer.
