Hello Everyone...!!!

I thought it prudent that I make this introduction as I have had to "block" a few members and have also gotten some "comments" offline that are out of flavor or context to what I was raised in as a traditional "self-reliant" person...I have joined the group..." to be of service"...where and if I can to members here that may query on the general topic of what I would call...REAL... self-reliance and not what (it seems?) some members think (or want?) it to be...

I read all the rules here and the group's definition and will follow that to share some things about myself that may enlighten members about my skill sets...

Hi all,

After seeing some of the posts here, I thought this might be of interest. I have more pictures of this one that a friend took for me...

Highlights of the design are an all-stone foundation and root cellar, 15" thick walls with 3" slabs of Hemlock on both the outside and inside... R-Value of 30/30/60...~40'x40'...8" thick front insulated door...Uses less than a cord and half of wood to heat per year...Near Gettysburg, PA...

Hi all,

Per some current conversations (both positive and negative) here on Vivarium and because a member ( u/Cumbiscuit69420) requested I do so, I going to share some basic insights or why not these and when/if they are used what some of the better or more professional choices are...

First, and for validation again from the other post, besides an early background in this hobby professionally, I have also been an architectural designer and fabricator now for over 40 years with a sole focus on only natural, traditional, and sustainable architecture. Biome enclosure (what is now called "bioactive) was/is a hobby that became professional because of my background and other skill sets...

Hi Bioactive Members,

I'm a former Zookeeper, Park Naturalist, and Nature "Geek" that has been "lurking" in the background of forums, chat rooms, and the like regarding the "new" (???) bioactive craze over the last decade...

After being active as a Wilderness Guide, and designer of natural architecture for over 40 years now as well, I have been asked if I could write a book on "natural enclosures." After seeing what was out there this past decade, I had concerns I want to examine from the many in this hobby both as professionals now and as amateur hobbyists...

I am also posting this same "chat" on r/Vivarium regarding all the very..." toxic and industrial"... plastics, concrete, silicon,

Hi Outdoor Architecture folks...

I'm brand new to the group and didn't know this group even existed...!!!

I've been wanting to ask this question for some time...Without any front loading or validation of my skill sets, expertise, or background...What does this group think of something like a... "Natural Deck Company"...?

What would your questions be...?

What do you think the interest is from the consumer public in your own areas...?

All thoughts welcome...Please feel free to challenge the concept all you wish, I need to be able to defend the concept...If I can't explain it here professionally, then I have more to do...LOL...Thanks in advance!!!
