Simple question, is getting Cloud to weapon level 9 worth it before trying Zack's Bonds of Friendship trial? I just finished the Sephiroth one earlier this morning after a few days of attempts, but I definitely relied on Sephiroth and I've heard that Zack is a little less broken? I'm trying to figure out how big the difference is between weapon levels, to see how much stronger it would make Cloud. All I'd have to do is finish hard mode chapters 12 and 14, but if the difference is miniscule I'd rather just finish hard mode in order once I'm done with Zack.

I was reading some random Brandon Sanderson quote about fulfilling expectations earlier today, and I started thinking about The Last Jedi's heavy handed attempts to subvert them [before JJ came back]. Rey's parents are nobody, Snoke doesn't matter, that sort of thing. Or more generally, maybe that ancient prophecy that seems to be set up as some sort of framework of the story, except it was created not by a prophet, but just some guy who was trying to make money or screw with people. Maybe a raving madman claiming to be an ancient God of Olympus turns out to be just some raving madman.

Meanwhile Pain of Salvation (missing a bassist) is going to be touring with Klone (missing a Guitarist)! It feels like a bummer to see incomplete bands on stage to me, but what can you do?
